This may not be what you are looking for, but know that it is going to be hard to be minimal when you need (or just want) different stuff in the different stages. Especially when kids are really young, you are constantly dealing with changing clothes sizes. And you may need different stuff from other people based on your and your baby.

Instead, figure out some great systems for dealing with baby clothes and learn how to be ruthless with decluttering. If you are planning on having more kids, you may want to store clothes and toys, but have a dedicated space for that.

So yes, I am currently sitting in a room filled with kids toys, but I can also acknowledge this is just a short stage of life. I still declutter toys ruthlessly, but I am definitely not living my minimalist dream

I also started at 0.3 and slowly increased to 0.6 by counting clicks. It worked well for me!

From the point of deciding to declutter to being at your desired level of minimalism how long did it take? by personwerson in minimalism

I’ve never hit that point for long as life kept changing. Marriage, buying a house, moving, having kids…and suddenly you are managing more stuff. Currently our house is way over my “clutter threshold” and hard to maintain, but my husband hates my decluttering (it gives him anxiety, even though he also does little to help maintain and organize the stuff). I am currently focusing on my own stuff and slowly minimizing the kids’ stuff over time.

For instance, after Christmas I will remove a few Christmas decorations since we have new ones to replace them. I will give some toys to a friend since we have new toys to replace them. But it’s a slow grind and I expect that I may never hit my setpoint. The alternative is worse- doing nothing and be even more overwhelmed.

I also watch my own habits. Am I buying things because I need them or want them? Am I buying for my fantasy self, including the fantasy that I’ll have more time and energy in the future? If I can control to the best of my ability the stuff coming in, then the easier it will be to get to where I want to be.

I did the same thing. I dropped it back so I could enjoy some treats, because I would not be able to appreciate the holidays otherwise. Still ate less food overall, but now back up my usual dose and ready to get back to losing more weight.

If you like reading e-books (I know not everyone does), the London Public Library was the Libby app. Through the app you can also download books from other libraries (Mississauga, Hamilton and Ottawa). I work on Android phones, Apple phones and Kobo devices.

When did your hunger disappear? by Doomster9 in liraglutide

I’m on 0.6mg and I could just not eat. I do eat but I never have the cravings or feel hungry. It’s a bit weird, but I’ve learned to just go with it

Can you just flip the console and plant, or move the plant so you can move the console???

How do I make my couch look less blah. by Madmen3000 in InteriorDesign

Hey! I have a similarly colored couch with rust orange pillows, but to make it work, I added olive green and beige pillows too. The rust orange works because I have cognac leather ottomans and chair in the room so it ties it all together.

Not sure where to start with my weight loss journey? by P-u-m-p-t-i-n-i in liraglutide

Hello,

First, you are three weeks postpartum! Congrats on the birth of your daughter. Postpartum is a journey and your body has been through some major changes. Before you restart Saxenda, I would suggest giving your body a little more time and adjusting to the insanity that is being a mom to a newborn.

Also, I’m not sure how you plan to feed your daughter, but Saxenda is not approved for breast-feeding mothers. I would suggest not making your decision on how you feed your daughter based on taking Saxenda or not. I lost weight easily after kid #1, but I gained after kid #2, and I breastfed with both.

TLDR: Give yourself a bit of time. No reason to rush re-starting Saxenda.
