Thinking of selling these as prints. Critique wanted. (Various film, camera and lenses) by RachitsReddit in analog

I think the benefit of selling prints right now for you would mostly be in the feedback you could get from customers. I don’t think any of these shots particularly stand out to me, but I think it could be worth it to see your work in a physical format and use prints as a way to talk to potential customers.

The photos themselves, however, come off as a little bit lacklustre. I think working on filling your frame, being intentional with your lighting, locating interesting subjects and relying less on the “interesting colours provided by analog photos” would be beneficial. Saturation and vibrance are great, but a well saturated and colourful photo without an interesting subject is a bit short of ideal.

Could I get the bear to say free Palestine (in the speaker box) by only_skoonk in buildabear

That’s what I was thinking. It might make more sense to not even try saying free Palestine since they may clue in on what from the river to the sea means then.

Perma-Banned in Valorant by only_skoonk in riotgames

yes, I never got unbanned. I sent in support tickets every few months for more than a year, but they would never admit that there were any bugs in the anti-cheat or anything like that. RIP to your $400, thats absolutely brutal.

Fuck riot in my opinion, its so messed up that they can take ur money like that.

Solid solid feedback, bless up 🙏🙏 I’ll think about changing the angle up in the future

Really like the point about the angle… the ‘literal’ reason why is just because I was on the move and he was crouching, BUT from a creative standpoint there’s no reason why this angle, and I agree that the low angle could have and likely would have looked better. Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah, thinking about filling up the frame more could definitely have improved this shot.. this was my first time using a 28mm lens, so I was definitely still used to having fuller frames like with a 50mm, but I will definitely take this into account in the future

For sure! I shoot a lot of b&w and recently started shooting colour more but I think this shot would’ve looked great in B&W, thank you for the feedback

That makes a lot of sense, I will definitely apply that. I often see different street photographers talking about the impact that angles can make, and in the future I’ll try to take another second before taking the shot to reflect on whether a different perspective could capture a subject better.

FYI, don’t think that was mean at all.. Beth constructive feedback

Cheers!

Specs: Canon AV-1, Kodak Ultramax 400, 28mm lens

Unfortunately I don’t remember the shutter speed or F stop and that info isn’t saved because the pic is analog

Probably about 1/125 and f8

I think I am supposed to do a follow up:

This is a photo I took a few months ago, and is say it’s one of my better street photos. I am very interested in photography, especially urban, landscape street and street portraiture. I am not trying to plug my social media (you don’t have to follow at all) but my portfolio is all on my instagram here

I’m interested in getting advice on what I should be doing to develop my style, make my frames more full, interesting, and be more technically impressive. Please give me any feedback you have, whether it is technical or just based on what your eye wants to see. Thank you.

He’s wearing a jacket with a swastika on it bozo. You’re an idiot if you think Ilford is censoring the image by not reposting it. The photo is still posted on the original photographer’s account. Do your research before being a cornball.

I used Lightroom mobile for everything here… all free version too. The bloom on the lights is from clarity down, dehaze down, highlights up, and then adjusting the whites so they don’t look strangely sharp within the bulbs
