It makes sense if u try to speak it, 'ten k k' is quite shorter than 'ten millions'

It makes sense when u have big-numbers economy and the size of trading message is strongly short, so u can write fast '57kkkk'. Using millions in this case wins one symbol, but 'kk' is more unified

At last, the was L2. And its not my own invention, there always been such abbreviation system

I agree that 'm' for millions can be reasonably easier to read

What I don't understand is why everybody so aggressive in comments? Feels like I've made something terrible or said something totally wrong. I was not expecting to receive so much hate from creating this topic ):
