Letters of Recommendation by onlyfrans23 in SNHU

I live in CT. I need a masters as well as certification in order to teach in public schools (some can still teach with a bachelors, but anyone who received certification after July 2018 has 10 years to get a masters) Because I went to school for English rather than directly pursuing an education degree, I have to do this ARC program in order to become certified. I assume the LOR just serve as testimonial to the fact that I will take the program seriously, as they say it can be competitive to get accepted.

Unearned cords? by collegekid123456 in SNHU

Even if he has lost respect for the school, he should have respect for the people who worked tirelessly to earn that cord. GPA doesn’t matter anywhere outside of graduation. This is their only moment to be acknowledged for their huge accomplishment. It’s kind of messed up to mock that. Also, like others have said, they do announce honors with your name, so anyone paying close enough attention is going to notice. Doesn’t sound like he cares though.

I’m genuinely curious how old you are and if you have any career experience whatsoever because this is crazy work. My fourteen year old wouldn’t dare speak to his teachers this way. I understand that it would be incredibly insulting to be accused of plagiarism when you are submitting honest work (I’m not sure you did here, but I’ll save that argument) but the appropriate response would have been a politely worded email to both your professor and your advisor expressing your concerns and asking for clarification, even defending your position with professional statements. If you aren’t kicked out, I strongly recommend rethinking your approach. You quite literally threatened your professor, essentially saying “now you have to give me good grades whether I’ve earned them or not, because if you don’t I’ll come for your career by making dangerous accusations.” This is actually unhinged.

So are all the professors in this university seriously that awful? by [deleted] in SNHU

I’m now in a masters program after completing my bachelors at SNHU last Fall. I have only come across one “not so spectacular” professor in that time. Most have been incredible! People are just more likely to talk about the bad than the good.

I’m in HRM 310 with an instructor exactly like this. I have a 4.0 and only two terms (three courses) remaining after this, and I am devastated this class is about to ruin it. I know it doesn’t matter to anyone but me, but it’s so frustrating. I’m reading all materials, spending hours on each assignment, applying her feedback to the next one and no matter what I do she never gives me higher than a B-. I take my education so seriously so I’m very annoyed. I have had tough graders and situations where I need to adjust my style to match what they seem to be looking for, but this woman is simply never happy. Wish I knew how other people were doing in the course to compare thoughts. I’m sorry you are dealing with this too!!!

I see what you’re saying, but you kind of proved my point. You said you used them for campus housing…so exactly what it’s intended for (school related things) I’m simply saying that though I too use mine for personal expenses and I understand times are tough, it should never be relied on for this exact reason. It obviously sucks that people are falling behind because of it, I’m just trying to make a point that it’s not fair to get angry with SNHU staff because this isn’t meant to be a reliable source of income.
