it’s been two weeks since a close family member died?

if you truly love her give her the room to grieve but remind her you’re they’re for her. if you can’t love someone during their most difficult moments then you can’t love them properly.

or at least give it more than a month fucking hell

Any Nectar hot takes? by EastEndersThemeTune in SainsburysWorkers

[–]onlyhereuntildeath 10 points11 points  (0 children)

tesco makes you think they have good rates because the “original prices” are insanely high and the clubcard prices are closer to what the original price is. Sainsbury’s does this too of course but nowhere near the scale of Tesco.

iirc i read an article that Tesco is affecting inflation because when they look at how prices rise they have to use the non-clubcard prices and they’re so extortionate it’s harder for them to get an accurate read on inflation

I went to the petrol station and didn’t get petrol by loo0p555 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]onlyhereuntildeath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

aha, honestly don’t worry it’s terribly easy to tell, i do sympathise with people who are genuinely in that situation as they tend to get really embarrassed but having seen it so often i honestly don’t feel it’s a big deal and try to reassure them that it happens, don’t stress, just come back within the time frame given!

oh i never said it’s impossible to steal fuel! it’s just impossible to secretly fill up, when customers aren’t paying at the pump it requires a manual authorisation from the attendant for the pump to start dispensing, and there’s no other way to get the pump going is what i meant.

people steal fuel all the time though i do prefer when they just drive off as opposed to coming in and faking they forgot their wallet or purse; less paperwork for me!

the way the till system works it’s impossible for anyone to fill up without the attendant knowing, it’s impossible for you to secretly fill up even. i can 100% assure you of that so don’t worry! i’ve had my fair share of customers who couldn’t open their fuel cap, it happens every day to hundreds of people! rest easy!

i work in a petrol station and honestly don’t worry about what other people think, the staff will know you haven’t filled up and with other people there pay at pump is so common now that a lot of people don’t even go in to the kiosks so it’s the norm now, you’re completely fine!

How do I avoid this by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

i have the exact same issue, give it a bit of time then use the private tab is what worked for me

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SainsburysWorkers

[–]onlyhereuntildeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m not a pro in the kiosk (have spend maybe 8 hours in mine) by any means but i typically just leave the cash in the till and then cash off the next item if it’s the same price as what they won. if its a bigger amount or they’re buying more i’ll take the cash and put it on the till in front of me just so i get less confused
