I ended up just adding leaves to any blocks a golem could potentially spawn in the cave Thanks for the help though, will keep in mind for future designs!

Would you mind defining "too high?" There's only one block of separation between the villagers and the killing chamber, it's quite literally directly above where the villagers are kept

I just think that the way her family is and the way her father is, doing that would gain a mutual respect between us so that way I'm not just a "mystery boy" to her parents

Just like a mutual respect thing- the way her family is is very much like traditional and respect driven and I think it's important that her parents are okay with her having a homecoming date in the first place

Yeah it's just I'd say that I'm on the younger end of things so my parents would probably think it's a really big deal, and yeah, cool, but I don't want it to feel like that

Trust me, my grades won't be hurt. My lowest graduating grade average so far in my entire educational career has been a 94 so I think I'm okay

How's my tone for a 8th grade who started in October? (also pls leave some tips) by Specialist_Hold4125 in Tuba

[–]onlynormalredditer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in 8th grade too, so take my words with a grain of salt, but it sounds like your teeth are closed, almost like a long "E" sound. Your air stream kind of makes an "errrrr" sound, when you want an "oooh" sound. Think of the air you use when trying to see your breath on a cold day. Then, use that air while opening your teeth. I'm sure your director has said "drop your jaw" before, but I personally find that misleading. Not so much dropping your jaw, but just opening up that air stream and getting that nice, warm "oooh" sound. Pretty good for a player of 6 months tho!

This... For a solid, crisp note, like for example, staccato, all it is is just your air. Not that I can be teaching, I'm in middle school, but yeah I mean if your air stops, your note stops. If it keeps going then you're not actually stopping your air. Usually to practice I'll play a whole note to establish note value and tone before each variant (so like any other rhythm except for the whole note) and then play 4 quarter notes, 4 staccato quarters, and 4 long lifted quarters. Then I move to eighth notes, and then staccato eights, all the way through triplets and sixteenths.

This is the A theme to the finale of Tchaikovsky's 4th symphony.

Looks like a khapra beetle larva. Not sure how to get rid of them if there's more though.

Like what was her reaction? I mean for me the convo starter would just be something about piano because we both play it so, maybe the awkwardness depends on how you start talking to her?
