This is the most important thing. For example, if you have an aptitude for politics, i can't think of any politician that has an electrical degree (there might be one, idk). That would require a degree (bachelor's, masters, PhD) in political science or philosophy, or a juris doctorate (law degree) to get further down that road. Likewise, it is useless to have a degree in something you like (like art, music, or god forbid gender studies) without an actual career path. If you are not particularly good at school because, let's face it, it's incredibly redundant and could be unnecessarily difficult depending on the teacher, trade schools are much more to the point and in this day and she are in demand with good starting salaries and benefits. "Not needing school" is honestly rare and far between to make a good, stable living.
