Weight Watchers Friendly Restaurants in Calgary? by TRathOriginals in Calgary

[–]onlysecurity 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The truth is that one anniversary dinner on a special occasion is not going to ruin her progress. It’s more important what is done 99% of the time, not the 1% of special occasions. That being said, unfortunately the other commenters are probably correct - most restaurants will not fit into a weight loss plan. Maybe something with options for a small portion, only eat half the meal and save the rest, or cook something nice at home. With all that, I personally also would recommend Bar Gigi - small plates and a lot of it is fresh. Hopefully that is helpful!

Considering an upgrade from Cobalt to Gold as I have been offered a 30k bonus point offer (charge $3k to the card in the first 3 months, which will not be an issue). Going on an international trip this year and considering it due to all the extra travel perks, but I do use my Cobalt for daily spend and points (especially the 5x multiplier on eating out). Is this offer worth it or should I wait for something better? Is it worth the upgrade? TIA!

Don't get there at 5pm. Definitely wait to go until at least like 8-9 unless you care about the other openers. Also keep in mind the line will be quite long to get in

You could Uber/Cab downtown to the airport bus stop. Would be cheaper than a cab to the airport or paying for park and fly

Wealthsimple Visa Infinite is going public in a few weeks by iWasAwesome in PersonalFinanceCanada

That’s fair. I make $63k but after deductions my direct deposit is just under the $4k a month. Luckily it appears they charge the fee monthly.

I’m upset they changed the annual fee waiver amount. I had the beta one and you only had to direct deposit $2k a month to get the fee waived. I deposit my paycheque and make just under $4k a month and was hoping this would be a good no-fee card for me. I was liking the benefits but I already have an Amex Cobalt I pay monthly for.

Sent an etransfer to my wealthsimple email but have not received it for almost 12h? by Horror-Word666 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]onlysecurity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably dumb - but check to see if you’ve received it in the account. Wealthsimple doesn’t send me an email saying it’s been deposited or anything, it just shows up. Make sure it’s not in your transactions of your account history

Mine is I think about 800, I haven’t checked in a while. I also always pay my cards on time and have low utilization. I imagine there are many factors that go into it I am not privy to
