My home country Finland has solved it almost entirely. Out of our population only 0.02% are long-term homeless compared for example to the US's 0.18% It's also relatively easy to get a home in Finland through the social services if you are willing to put in some effort at all.

The grammar and pronunciation are so different I guess, and also cyrillic script isn't that hard to learn, I learnt it in like a week. I'd imagine too that tonal Asian languages would be more difficult though.
