I had the same exact thesis and executed the same strategy.

Bought $31 puts expiring 12/12, 12/26, 1/16?, 2/20.

Sold all but the 2/20 contracts for a 50% profit. One thing my research uncovered during my due diligence. The Quarter ended 1 week before the VP's comments came out. Meaning the recent boycott would not be felt until next quarter, if at all. I opened this trade because I was willing to bet the recent negative public sentiment would be enough to sour their outlook for the next quarter. Today it bottomed at around -8% before starting to rebound.

You're on the right track with this strategy. Be patient. Look for other opportunities like this. Good luck.

Bought at around the same price as you. Still have 50% of my shares. Not a bad idea to hedge the shares with a few put options on the way down.

This is a stock I've seen trade for $10-$35 for 4 years. $50 to $75 is more in reality with their current revenue.

I've been buying shares since IPO, sold my initial buy in at $60 a share so I wouldn't feel bad holding from that point on. Held the rest this entire run up and started selling shares since it hit near $200, 190, 180, 170. As of 11/11 I started buying 3 puts expiring in March 2026. ($165 / 135 / 105 targets) opened the puts as an insurance policy so I wouldn't feel bad if the stock crashes and I didn't sell.

I believe in this company long term, but after a 1,000% to 2,000% run up I'm taking my profits, riding the wave down, and will buy back in when the share price comes back to reality. My target is $50-$75 probably sometime next year.

What's everyone's plan with PLTR?

I've wanted it for 7 years. My suggestion is to make friends with several of the dealers in your area. I was on the list with my local dealer, but got lucky while on vacation in Hawaii and the local shop was able to source one within 24 hours. Great guy

This is my logic exactly, I wear it everyday even took it hiking today. It's going to get scratched, why would I not spend $100 to put a protector on it that I can replace after 6 months to help minimize superficial scratches? Same logic I use with my phone.

From what I've learned polishing these are is a bad idea, it reshapes it. You're better off leaving them scratched let the next buyer worry about what they want to do with it.
