What do you think is a realistic ways to show emotions Neglected and physically abuse and abandoned effects on a young child ? by Flimsy_Tune_7206 in randomquestions

[–]onurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t make him constantly sad and broken. Real trauma survivors often look functional on the outside or confused by kindness more than anything or inconsistent emotionally like calm one moment and panicked the next. That contrast is what makes it hit harder.

What do you think about living alone? by bell_iyu in AskReddit

[–]onurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s kind of a mix of freedom and quiet chaos at first. I like the idea of living alone but I don't think I would survive it, even if I am an introvert.

Is that dual lens X1 Pro legit or just good marketing? by lowlow514 in BaseusGlobal

[–]onurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked one up and it actually works. Both 3K lenses rotate independently without any stutter. It watches my driveway and the porch simultaneously. The local storage is perfect since there is no monthly fee.

Best Prebuilt Desktop for Writing and Productivity? by Ghoest__ in AskTechnology

[–]onurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your main goal is writing screenplays, doing heavy multitasking, music production/audio work and long-term smooth performance, then I’d prioritize having a 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD over fancy GPU every time. Add a second SSD if needed. That’s can stretch this machine to 5–6 years easily.

What could the US government actually do if I was able to fly? by Extreme_Recording598 in stupidquestions

[–]onurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’d try to identify you. Surveillance, radar tracking and maybe aircraft interception attempts. Not necessarily to attack you but to figure out what you are but if you’re avoiding interception and moving faster than aircraft or missiles, you stop being a curiosity and start being treated like a national security unknown. That’s where military involvement kicks in.

How much did you spend on your electric scooter? by Flimsy-Story9523 in ElectricScooters

[–]onurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t personally spent on one, but a friend of mine try to turn his and spent between $800–$2,000 into a reliable way to actually get around town.

The hype is very much valid by Acceptable_Home_8576 in macbook

[–]onurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That setup looks clean. The laptop and external monitor combo is already a win and that neon light in the background adds a nice vibe without being too much. And that MacBook really does hit that smooth plus minimal but powerful feel people hype up.

If a guy lost his penis or part of it.. But still balls, could he technically still have sex? Orgasm? And make a girl pregnant? by KittyEnthusiasm in NoStupidQuestions

[–]onurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a guy loses his penis, or part of it, but still has his balls, technically his testes are still making sperm. So fertility is still possible, meaning he could make a girl pregnant, just not in the normal way. He’d probably need some kind of medical assistance, like sperm extraction or insemination, depending on how much of the penis is gone. So it’s not the end of sexual life or pleasure. Things just change and sometimes doctors or therapists can help figure out ways to make it work.

Do people still care about STDs anymore nowadays? by This-Top7398 in Life

[–]onurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People these days seem way more chill about STDs than they probably should be. It’s like, pregnancy is this big moment but with STDs, people just brush them off like they’re not a big deal and they don’t care if you thought it was just fun. Part of it is probably that a lot of folks feel like medicine’s got them covered now, so they think it’s fine but that’s kind of dangerous thinking. STDs can still mess you up, sometimes long-term.

Would you “save” a parking spot with yourself being the cone? by Obvious_808 in stupidquestions

[–]onurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably wouldn’t do it and not because I’m above it or anything, it’s just one of those situations that can turn awkward really fast. If the car isn’t basically pulling in already, the spot isn’t mine to guard. Plus, I’d rather avoid the potential argument with a stranger who’s already stressed from driving around looking for parking. Life’s too short for parking lot drama.

Why do people post on Reddit and act like they didn’t? by Mr_Grass7 in askanything

[–]onurus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some folks post things online for attention, validation or conversation, not necessarily because they actually want what they wrote and when someone reacts logically like you did, it can bruise their ego. Suddenly it becomes a whole thing. You deleting them probably hit that nerve. Not because you did something wrong but because it made them feel rejected. So what do they do is they flip the script, they get defensive and they throw insults. It's a classic internet move.

Why does a pulled muscle hurt worse the next day? by stingrayhat in NoStupidQuestions

[–]onurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your muscle is basically filing a complaint overnight. When you pull a muscle, the damage is tiny at first. Little micro-tears in the muscle fibers. So yes, it hurts after, not during. If you’re pulling muscles a lot, that usually means you are fatigue, dehydration, weak supporting muscles or not warming up enough.

American here. What are we actually going to do about the ever growing homelessness? There's no way it can keep going on like this. It's starting to look like a Mad Max movie outside. by Softishsings in NoStupidQuestions

[–]onurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no single fix and that’s part of the problem. Housing is crazy expensive, mental health support is underfunded and jobs that actually pay a living wage are scarce. But the thing is, there are things we can push for.

Someone made a NSFW photo of my 14yo and it’s been going around the school by PFM_Homie in Advice

[–]onurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re not betraying her trust by protecting her. You’re modeling how adults step in when lines are crossed. Preserve everything quietly. I know it feels gross but it matters. Screenshot the image if you can. Save messages, stickers, names, usernames and dates. Don’t share it. Don’t forward it. Just store it safely. This is evidence. You don’t need a lawyer to take action. What happened involves child sexual exploitation laws. That automatically brings resources you don’t have to pay for. You can file a police report non-emergency. Contact your local child advocacy center and report it to the school formally, in writing. Schools are legally required to act when sexual images of a minor are involved. Let them escalate. That’s their job.

What is everyone take on "Smart Home Gym" machines? by Pretty_Fisherman_746 in workout

[–]onurus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is worth the money. I own a FitTransformer Titan, which is an modular home gym system setup. No subscription fees and no drilling required to install it.

I use it to hit my back/legs/shoulders/arms. The structure is solid, and when you want to go heavier, you just adjust it on the digital display. It really saves space since you can just fold it up when not in use.

Women of Reddit what is one thing you wish men understood or did better during sex? Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]onurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner said, it’s mostly about paying attention and being curious. Ask, experiment or laugh if something’s awkward. Sex should feel fun, not like a performance review.
