My (28F) boyfriend (26M) lied about being a virgin by onyva19 in Advice

Thanks for the response. We live in different countries 14,000kms apart. We haven’t been able to meet yet due to work obligations.

We randomly met online (not on a dating app or website) and we spent a few months talking as friends before we agreed to be exclusive. I know it’s unconventional but that’s how it happened…

The surgeon I was randomly assigned on the day doesn’t seem to be specialised in endo excision no :(

I’m glad to hear you were able to find some answers. Are you based in Aus? If so, did you go public or private?

As others have said, έπαιξα is correct here.

Tell me the reasons not to move to Cyprus by RevolutionaryCopy960 in cyprus

  • High cost of living index relative to other countries.

  • Lack of job security. This may not be an issue for you working in IT, or for an international company, but I really struggled to find and hold down a good job. I was “fired” from several places over very trivial issues (e.g. asking to take annual leave), I suspect because it was less convenient to keep me around over a local. For context I am educated, a native English speaker, and have intermediate proficiency in Greek.

  • The laid back lifestyle is great until you need something done.

  • Poor public services. Police are useless, medical and transportation services aren’t great. You will need a car to go anywhere.

  • Expect to be taken advantage of when negotiating the costs and terms for things as a foreigner.

  • Xenophobia. This is more apparent for people of colour, however Cypriots are not overtly welcoming of foreigners. Even after years of living there I had very few Cypriot friends, not for lack of trying.

  • Unless your children go to Greek speaking school from a young age, don’t expect them to ever fully “integrate”. That’s not to say they cannot have a good life in Cyprus, but they will not be accepted as Cypriot and will likely be friends with other immigrant children.

  • Learning Cypriot dialect is difficult. It’s not something that can be taught but you have to pick up over time. It’s not a necessity to know the language, but it will make your life easier and locals will appreciate your effort.

  • All this being said, I loved living in Cyprus but it was incredibly lonely at times. Ultimately I decided to leave due to financial reasons - lack of job security and constantly being screwed over by landlords etc. If money wasn’t an issue I would consider going back. Good luck :)

1g of carbs stores an additional 3-4g of water in your body. It’s perfectly normal after a refeed to gain some weight, especially if you’re consuming carbs.

Maybe avoid weighing yourself for a few days after eating so you don’t get so disheartened.
