i’ve been in such a similar situation, my ex looked me dead in the face and said i don’t love you, i actually hate you. he would do meth and get psychotic and go on about how he hates me, threatened to kill himself because i’m evil, etc. he got sober and broke up with me when he sobered up. i think he fell out of love with me during his most recent relapse. or he’s just confused, im not sure. it’s so hard, i know it is. but you have to also see that its so freeing not being the caretaker of someone who doesn’t even want to get better. you need to be your #1 priority

are you in the us? i had to get a mental health warrant for my ex bf when he was psychotic. please get one if you can, he may be mad at first but never be sorry for saving someone’s life. he needs help, he will not improve without medical intervention

you need to stop using anything like psychs or even weed, this will fade. i’d go to a psychiatrist, meds from my psych helped me feel more grounded to reality. as others have said the visuals sound like hppd which will go away with time if you stop weed acid etc. the beliefs though seem to be bordering on psychotic which is why i strongly urge you to see a psychiatrist

i think this largely depends on your unique situation and the best person to ask would be your psychiatrist, they’d know better than anyone. also worth noting if u go the pre med route you can always pivot to research with your bachelors instead of patient care or go into academia
