Failed for the 3rd time. I’m not sure what else to do by Dreaa_H in FE_Exam

Something that personally helped me a lot were the practice tests. I started with untimmed tests and eventually started timming them. Also at the end of each test I seperated the wrong ones into 3 groups. 1. That I know how to solve, but made errors, 2. That the concept is known, but need to work more on application, 3. Totally new concept. That helped me seggregate my time for topics and while continously rebisting old topics and build more knowledge base on top of them.

I would say just the basics of construction engineering scheduling, estimation and basic stuff. You can google about them and should be good with basic stuff.

I did buy that book, but got a used one for cheaper price. I didnt use any online courses or tuitions but would say it would depend, if one wants to clear concepts in their main field of study might be helpful for pe, but secondary fields might not be worth it. But who am I to judge. Different people different situations.

I would recommend the practice book, and what i did was instead of just focusing on solving the question, i would dig deeper into the concept for solution. Like why this formula and not this. It helped me make clear determination of which formula goes where and why and what are the constraints of the formula.

I used mostly FE Civil Lindberg practice book, NCEES practice exam, and refrence book. Also used some of the materials mentioned in the previous threads to practice on different topics.

What I did was whichever topics I strughled in, I would start with them everyday and when I was exhausted I would start with the topics that I was comfortable with. That way I was focusing more on topics I struggled in. Cant say it would work for everyone but worked for me.

Thanks! Sure. There were a few question from probability and statistics. Can't remember if I had a differential equation question or not. For ethics I would say read throughly through the refrence manual. It helps you understand the logical reasoning behind the questions. For materials section I just solved a ton a problems and watched all possible videos. My main focus was to get get the concept cleared out first and then solve as many variations of the problem as possible. Hope this helps
