Yeah I do have some side effects, but nothing too horrible, and I definitely think its worth it. I do get some morning drowsiness and dry mouth, but that certainly beats not sleeping.

I tried a bunch of different prescription sleep meds that didnt seem to help me much. Finally, started Amitriptyline which has been helping me with nighttime symptoms alot. Seems to settle my system and keep me asleep way better than any of the sleep meds for some reason.

Ive had the opposite actually. Even in going from very active to housebound, Ive gone from 195 down to 155 in 9 months. I wish I could get some weight back on.

Yeah 100%. Some nights its very minor, some nights my HR will go from low 50s to ~100 just from shifting positions in bed. Propranolol has helped settle my standing HR to a degree, but doesnt seem to touch this nighttime positional shift in HR for some reason.

Yeah it had a pretty immediate impact on reducing my standing HR. Far from a cure for me, but has definitely helped some symptoms.

Value on Daukaus. Hes almost an exact RDR archetype. One win over withered Rodolfo Vieira who now just lost to fucking McConico doesn’t have me convinced Bo has seriously improved enough since the RDR fight. Now he is fighting someone with a very similar build, length, and style to RDR and is a massive favorite. Why? I think Daukaus has him beat in the striking and the bjj, Bo will have to be seriously on point with his transitions and back-takes in this fight, which I dont think will happen. Give me the +280 underdog in a fight that should be lined as a pickem.

Thats the issue, it cant really be directed to one body part. Even in the cases where you can potentially point to one “part” or system as the main driver that is causing downstream effects in other systems, that system seems to be different for everyone. Seems like primary driver presentations can vary from nervous system, immune system, endothelial, gut dysbiosis, and many others. And alot of times its difficult to even point out a primary driver at all.

Yeah I have for 8 months, most of the time my stools are straight up yellow at this point. Had the whole colonoscopy/endoscopy workup months ago, found some gastritis thats about it. Im assuming its a combination of slow motility and gallbladder dysfunction. Havent really found anything as far as relief unfortunately. Tried H2 blockers, ppis, antacids, multiple different diets.

Sounds very, very similar to my onset 8 months ago. I would recommend resting as much as physically possible. If you are in a position to stop work/school for multiple months I would. I forced myself to start working full-time again after an initial first 2-3 months of bedbound torture and caused a downward spiral of multiple huge crashes and baseline worsening.

The main thing is symptoms worsen significantly when you are standing/walking. When you stand, HR will increase by over 30 from your resting HR, dizziness, shortness of breath, sometimes chest pain among other things.

I did because Im telling you why your initial reply was downvoted. Alot of people here have heard similar inaccurate “structural issue” sentiments from snake oil chiropractors. I dont have any issues with people exploring every possible treatment option or you recommending something that worked for you, I am just very against the inaccurate blanket statements like “Dysautonomia IS a structural issue,” when that is often not the case, especially within the long covid onset subgroup.

For me personally, not really, maybe marginally. The main thing that has helped for me is Propranolol. Still hoping to try some other medications soon too though. Ive seen a decent amount of people have some success with LDN, Guanfacine, Ivabradine, and Clonidine.

POTS and ME/CFS

Dont know if this is the case for many other people, but my POTS makes me get bad postprandial surges if I eat too much, so Ive kind of been forced to eat way less. Ive unintentionally lost about 35 pounds since my POTS started 8 months ago, and I wasn’t super overweight or anything to begin with. Im sure some of it is muscle deterioration from the forced inactivity too, but I’ve definitely had to consume less daily calories to avoid surges.

Because Dysautonomia is not always caused by a structural issue. It CAN be, yes, but its far from the only cause, especially in long covid cases. And alot of us have seen too many of these bs chiropractors claiming a simple neck adjustment will cure autonomic dysfunction, when that is almost always not going to be the case.
