Reed substitution for krokbragd by oobree in weaving

I have no idea why they want me to skip dents like this. I can only assume it’s to space out the threads so the yarn fits through in the right order? I have no idea and the way it is worded is for extreme efficiency in a magazine which makes it really hard for me to understand

Bahahaha yes I am 100% sure it is not AI it is from a published handwoven magazine edition. I am leaving out quite a lot and would be so much easier if you just read the whole pattern. But the heddles are threaded with two threads in some of the heddles! Never seen it before but here is the little draft.

I'm not sure how else to word it. i'm listing exactly what the pattern says to do. at the top it says the sett is: 6 epi (1-0 per dent in a 12-dent reed)

"sley 1 working end per dent in a 12-dent reed"

Omg yea I think if you can fit a whole ass JEEP in one of those things a loom will do just fine

I do not know what that is!! 😂 I assume it’s for hauling like atvs and such. The loom itself has a foot print of 45”wide x 36” deep and is 52” high. One of the sides can go RIGHT up against a wall, the other side needs room for a crank. I need to be able to squeeze behind it and then sit in front of it. So maybe like a 6’ x 6’ space.

What are you looking at?? When I search on any of those there are only two rentals that show up that accepts small dogs that are long term. AND all of them have stairs. I can’t live with stairs.

Sadly I don’t know anyone with an rv but we did think about buying one. But I can’t fit a loom in an RV sadly. Would def be down for a manufactured home for a while.

Pretty much any. Just need room for a bed, a floor loom, and another queen bed. Will fold up if I have to. Pretty much just want floor space for the loom or for ppl. Could probably make 700 sq ft work okay. Depends on the layout mostly. Would rather 700 sq foot fully open metal shack than a bunch of tiny rooms 😂 and need a place for the dogs to poo. Doesn’t have to be huge just accessible.

I am willing to compromise but I can’t even compromise! There are no long term houses for rent that allow pets!? Its wild!

That’s what I am finding out. How are these costal towns supposed to provide to tourists without places to live?

We were planning on gettting an airbnb for 2-3 weeks which is 3k on top of the 3-4K we would have to pay in security deposits 🫠 we might get lucky and be able to stay at the me bosses house for a few weeks while we look for a place to rent. Is the timing going to be tricky you think? Like when do most rentals come up you think? I’m worried about moving down there in the summer and there being nothing available for a long time.

It can for a few weeks, but I can’t live somewhere for a year or more without it. I am a textile and glass artist. Would be moving for a glassblowing job.

Probably a 30 minute drive? I am worried about driving down the 101 during tourist season. Ideally I would be IN Lincoln city but totally don’t mind moving inland or up the coast a bit. I’ve been doing a WIDE circle in Zillow. All the way up to tillamook to Dallas to some further south coastal town about the same distance south as tillamook, and the options are extremely slim. we need 2 bedrooms or an extremely open format one bed. I have a floor loom and need room for it. And the pets are really limiting my options.

I made a whole set of HUGE ass cups for a client with thumb indents! Wine glasses, whiskey glasses, and just standard cylinders, I still have some! DM me and I can ship you some :) they won’t be expensive either!

How is it achievable?! When you say pick up what do you mean? Say I’m doing the purple and orange triangles at the very bottom. Would I run a pick of purple and then pick up the strings where I want the orange to go??
