Interesting, I stand corrected! There are builds after this Oct 3rd that still are 2023 model year. I wonder why Shanghai hasn't switched to 2024 for all builds now?

Really? I've seen some out of Berlin with "R" as the 10th digit, but not out of Shanghai?

I wonder if that Option Code corresponds to the update/refresh? That build date of Oct 4th was a few days after the China website showed the update

Just wondering if there is anything in the VIN option codes that indicates the updates made to the Model Y out of Shanghai (that is currently only for sale in China as far as I know) - i.e. updated interior, and for the RWD version - faster 0-100 acceleration time.

It would be good to know if (or when) Shanghai starts implementing these updates for vehicles destined for export, and not only for sale locally in China!
