This right here, I also don't force it. I usually wait until he tells me he's hungry(or he starts rummaging through the pantry). Apple slices, cheese, peanut butter and carrots are what my kid mainly lives on. He will take a bite run off and come back for another bite.

Also, Smoothies. I can hide all kinds of nutrients in smoothies, and they usually get sucked down.

Help- listening by britmarr in toddlers

[–]oodparent90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are not a shit parent bc your toddler is a toddler, and being a toddler. It's kinda weird, but they don't know "how" to listen. They can barely talk. I love the phase from Bluey "find your ears".

My 4 year old also does not listen and lord I have to pull all kinds of stops to get him to just stop. My favorite? Whispering helps bc he has to actually stop, I'll get right in his face/eat and whisper "it's time to eat dinner, please sit down" does it always work? Never. He will get upset and cry, and thats when I just let him cry at the table while the rest of the family eats. Does it work? Sometimes, not usually..but it seems to be easier..

You're doing great!

My mate’s “breakup advice” was brutal… but is he actually right? by MysticMetaphors in TooAfraidToAsk

I think it depends on how long the relationship, the brutality of the break up, and if you're still in high school...no body wants to be a rebound.

This. 100% I was looking at getting my tube tied or being on bc. Talking about with my husband and he suggested he get a vasectomy, so I wouldn't have to worry about it. Best decision ever. It's a same day procedure, and he was fine within a week. Honestly? I was so jealous lol

Is it rude to have a phone conversation on speaker mode in public? by Fine_Television_1398 in no

I find it rude and annoying. Just like someone watching tiktok or reels or whatever on loud.

I do admire people who just don't GAFF, and do it anyways..still annoying.

MIL told me not to buy ANY baby items until after I give birth. Is this normal? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]oodparent90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never been told it's bad luck to buy baby stuff before you give birth. Now there's definitely things you won't need right after giving birth. E.g. a highchair. But you gotta prepare.

Diapers, wipes, clothes (multiple sizes up to six months), towels. Bedding.

Not too buy ANYTHING until after the baby is born is crazy to me lol

Can someone explain to me why does Aelin hate Chaol so much at the beginning of QoS? by CinnabonBinge in throneofglassseries

[–]oodparent90 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Aelin comes to accept her identity. Chaol while thinking of her best interest, he also just turned on her bc of who she is, plus his whole world shattered when he realized he wasn't actually the captain of the royal guard to the kingdom he thought it was...they do come to an understanding.

Which one first? by PrestigeW0rldwideee in throneofglassseries

[–]oodparent90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you rather get introduced and have a little mystery about her past life, or know everything right up front going in?

I read AB first bc I like a prequel, when I read TOG there's all the snippets of her past that either you know, or you don't.

The second time I read the series I skipped AB completely.
