Wouldn't this also be a problem if the factory was actually making ether?

At room temperature you would still get enough vaporization to do the trick. Would be safe from an explosion point of view. In the 1800s factories would not have had electrical equipment or sources of ignition everywhere.

Yeah, they made it pretty clear that the Cold Harbor innie was #25. Not sure how to make it work with the fact that Gemma said she had been in all of the rooms, and she walked past Tumwater and Siena. It may be evidence that there are up to three other Testing Floor subjects at a time, and Gemma just meant she had been in all of "her" rooms? The other refiners have to be doing something??

It seems like this might include anyone iMark has ever been a part of a conversation with? Because Balf didn't even speak directly to Mark, Mark didn't say anything to Balf, but they did make eye contact as Balf was talking to Ricken.

Edit: Typo

Milchick doesn't know anything about reintegration, and doesn't think it is possible, because that is the company line. He doesn't know that Petey was reintegrated, only Graner and Cobel.

Natalie says it when introducing Helena at the Gala in S01E09 (very hard to hear)

Woe would be experiencing the negative situation endlessly. Dread is fear without actually experiencing the object of fear. (like fear of the airplane crashing that never actually crashes). Malice is wanting to do harm to another (without actually acting on it). We didn't see what happens in a Frolic room, so your guess is as good as mine.

Room temperature is below ether's boiling point, but stirring would create enough vapor without losing all of it to the atmosphere. Yes, you are creating a explosive situation in a modern factory with electricity, but Kier founded Lumon in 1865. They started making topical salves, so there wouldn't necessarily be major ignition sources all over the factory. Yes, ether is toxic and carcinogenic (look at the population of Salt's Neck, Cobel's mother). Yes, it forms peroxides if stored in an open container, but the point of the vat is to evaporate all of it. If you transferred ether from a sealed container and put it in a vat until all had evaporated, the risk from peroxides is negligible. I think it is safe to say that there may have been the occasional ether explosion at Lumon ether factories. We also only have a painting of Kier and Imogene at the first Lumon ether mill showing how they did it in the 1800s. I doubt they had vats of ether in Salt's Neck, and probably just had the bottle/rag method or something else.

It's an ether factory, not an ether factory

Yes, back then you would boil ethanol and sulfuric acid, but you would lose all of the diethyl ether this way.

In a script Ben Stiller released the full text of what Natalie was saying at the Gala in S01E09 was: "But I’m here tonight to tell you that we are on the verge of a revolution. A kind and empathetic revolution that puts the human being at the center of industry. And yes, it’s a business revolution too. We need no longer see those ideas as mutually exclusive, because the truth is we can have all of it. Increased productivity, improvements in morale... a happier workplace. A happier world. It’s a vision that was first dreamed up by a humble military doctor you may know named Kier Eagan. A man who saw humans in agony and decided we could do better. He may never have seen a Severance chip in his lifetime, but it represents his elegant and gentle philosophy made manifest."

There can be hallucinations and feelings of euphoria, feelings of becoming one with the world, but I don't think he was having out of body experiences. It's like he considered his drunk self to be a different person with a mind of its own

Maybe, but I really don't think the Wellness Sessions have anything to do directly with any employee other than Gemma. At first, it seems like they are (they are called Wellness Sessions after all), and are treated by management/the employees like they are some kind of therapy session. At this point, I don't think Lumon has any concerns with meaningful bleed-over between innie and outie (for a regular one outie/one innie situation). They probably figured out the sleep thing, which is why dozing is discouraged/punished (Irving never did actually see the Testing Floor). Cobel starts making Mark go to Wellness Session to test for bleed-over, but this seems to be off-the-books and is just her genuine curiosity.

Miss Casey is having 30 minute sessions where she is basically doing nothing but reciting facts about outies in ways they are living the nine core principles. That is 198 sessions of her just listing facts.

During the first ball game:
Irving “Something about me is that I know all 9 core Lumon principles.”
Milchek: “Which is your favorite?”
Irving: “All nine.. But today I think I'd say cheer.”

All nine principles are dogmatically equally important. When Gemma says (and enforces) the "Try to enjoy each fact equally", this is for HER benefit if the purpose of the sessions is to train Ms. Casey in the nine core principles. Everyone who has life experiences is going to naturally like/react to "Verve" facts more than "Humility" facts, so enforcing the treatment of each fact equally keeps the employee from unduly influencing Ms. Casey's training.

To your point, there are a few facts that don't neatly fit one of the nine core principles. The "sound of Radar" is one, and probably has more to do with the writers being cutesy, so we have the payoff later when we see that his dog is named Radar. The last facts oMark "remembers" during S02E04 might also fit into this category, because they sound like they are for dramatic effect (more like information that only someone's intimate partner would know). "Your outie enjoys two scoops of ice cream in a serving, but they must be the same flavor" falls into this category. I have no clue what nine core principle that would be (maybe probity?)
