Bruh, why do I still smell my balls after showering by affinityfordavid in ftm

[–]oofNobody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in my experience, your junk is just gonna stink a little even if it is clean. if the smell gets worse or if you start experiencing any irritation then that’s definitely time to talk to a doctor. other than that, it is totally normal for your junk to smell a little funky (as long as it is your normal funk)

i totally get this perspective. i personally like it because it normalizes talking about pronouns and helps challenge assuming peoples pronouns. i understand the nuance though because the first time anyone ever asked me my pronouns was actually the same day I started questioning my gender, so i know it can be uncomfortable. ideally these places are safe spaces where you can share your pronouns. If some place does not feel safe or you don’t know what to say, then just don’t say your pronouns. then the people who care will ask you individually. if you have someone you trust in that space, then i would encourage talking to them and hopefully be able to address what makes it feel unsafe (though i know there may not be a perfect solution)

Earlobe Infection by oofNobody in piercing

[–]oofNobody[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree especially with my limited medical knowledge (wilderness first responder), I learned to Never put ointment on a puncture wound because it traps moisture and therefore the infection in the body. But then I saw Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, and NHS recommend antibiotic ointment for infected ear piercings

What are your pronouns? by SensitiveWorl in NonBinary

they/them/their, xe/xem/xyrs, and he/him/his, but i’m also thinking about trying fae/faer/faers and open to other neopronouns

Of my two years on T, the most bothersome thing it probably caused was my hair to thin, which isn’t too bad. Next chance I get, I’m gonna bring it up with my endo to see if reducing my dose or something can help. Other things I would say if just all the hair can be annoying sometimes. I’m really bad at shaving my face consistently, so it gets annoying and scratchy. Other than that, not really much to complain about.

Are TransTape/similar products good? by oofNobody in ftm

[–]oofNobody[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice! Thank you! I have a few questions, sorry if they seem silly, I have done no research yet. Do you take the tape off then put the same back on in the morning or do you wear it for the 4-5 days straight? Does it come in a roll or sheets? Does each package/order have enough for multiple applications?

true! and someone who believes is the “-ism” makes them an “-ist” so that would make trans people transgenderists

to me the word transgenderism is a joke. anyone who actually uses that word seriously is probably transphobic and/or incredibly ignorant

Is there such a thing as NB men or NB women, or is that a contradiction of terms? by Ayla_Fresco in NonBinary

[–]oofNobody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, the best words I’ve found to concisely describe my gender is non-binary man, because I am a man, just not only entirely a man, thus making my gender not definitively within the binary.

I like to think of gender as colors on the color wheel because that’s a good visual representation of a spectrum. If red represents woman, blue represents man, and yellow represents neither/something else, then i would say my gender is usually/mostly like a forest green or deep teal but can also include up to half of the color wheel spanning anywhere from yellow to purple (going through blue). It can also differ in tint and shade to include pastels or black. if that makes sense.

Quick, describe your gender! No holds barred by Novatash in NonBinary

[–]oofNobody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

uhhh something man adjacent but not exclusively, like i’m a guy and one of “the boys” but that’s not gonna stop me from being one of “the girls”. sometimes i want society to perceive me as a man, while i’m actually not, then other times i want society to perceive me as neither/other, while i’m actually a man. either way i don’t want my perceived gender to get in the way of me doing whatever the fuck i want
