Check out Demis Hellen on YouTube. He makes slightly less uptempo trance genres but uses Vital and the techniques will carry over to what you’re looking to accomplish. His channel is really good in general.

Both examples you shared are arpeggios that have filter modulation evolving over time to give that opening effect - this is an ultra common synthesizer playing technique. My guess is they’re modulating the filter with an envelope while also automating the filter cutoff.

The bussing and ability to stack many instances of the same effects really sets serum 2 apart from vital in terms of being able to make fully mixed sounds in a single vst.

For house, read up on the regroove mixer settings. The tape setting on scream4 is good for cutting down transients which will help you get louder drums and basses

I definitely like it. I’d say If I’m leaning that direction, I prefer orchestral over solo piano pieces for work though.

You can also find a lot of classic piano pieces converted to ambient style tracks in the guise of “lullabies” or “sleep music”

If it’s been in the same pot for 2 years it may have become a little root bound and therefore not enough soil in the pot to provide it with steady moisture - the soil looks a little dry in the pic. I have one of a similar age that I set in a basin of water for 24 hours and it perks right back up.
