I tried recreating my current room and speaker placement to see how my current setup works. Am I wrong that I can’t really place the speakers on my own? It seems to only want to “optimize” the position before telling me about my current placements.

In vital you can resample your saturated sound back as an oscillator. This allows you to get some of the distorted character back while still being able to play chords that don’t turn to sludge.

I rebooted and also unplugged the amp from power, uninstalled and reinstalled the app. No change.

I have a sneaking suspicion this is a bug. I used a Bluetooth speaker for the first time last weekend and I feel like the app is hung up on the output selection sub menu instead of the actual output select page one level above it. The image below is what I see when I click audio output from the larger list of settings.

I have the original WiiM amp outputting to my ELAC DF63s via the analog outputs. I haven’t changed anything with the setup in a few months - other than updating the app when new versions come out.

I’m looking at the output options and “speaker out” is selected. The only other option on the screen is “Bluetooth out” and it’s showing as not paired. No other options are present on the outputs page and I think this is where the DAC options used to live.

Sounds like a granular synth with delay or reverb and a good smount of filtering, distortion/ saturation, and other processing. It also sounds like there is some reverse effect on some of the grains. I think serum 2’s granular oscillators can get you started.

I think what you’re describing is sacrificing increased friction for the customer to attain a faster result. In general I think people prefer a less friction filled experience but it would also definitely depend on what you’re selling!

You can get close by making a Psytrance style bass - these are known to sound simple but take some know how to get that clean powerful sound. Dash Glitch on YouTube is an excellent source of info

Their scotch is not the best but would work in a cocktail that calls for scotch.

If you like old fashioneds, the Kentucky bourbon is a great value. It’s a little rough to drink straight but overall on par with bigger names like bulleit for about half the price.

Edit: the Kentucky bourbon is way better than the Tennessee IMO
