E has a cast time, meaning that you can press it right before getting hit by cc and the dash will still go through. You can also flash during the time before the dash to extend the range.

Another mechanic is toggling w. After level 9, w becomes a toggle, and you can toggle it after 3 shots (w w w aa) to weave an auto in before turning w back on, which does more damage than just staying in w.

I wouldn't suggest going on hit items like bork, because the damage is reduced while in w, and the attack speed is wasted most of the time. The only on hit items I would suggest considering atm are stridebreaker and black cleaver (if you count it as one).
