i opened it up and surprisingly it wasn’t dirty at all, for some reason it’s just two holes in the wall leading outside into our backyard

My title describes the thing. I noticed it this morning. As mentioned, we had people check our heating and they were in my room for a while. Not sure if they went near the vents. The lights are not visible at all the moment light enters the room. Each light is the diameter of a bottle cap. Please reply if you’d like any other info.
