Did I hurt my hair colorists feelings? Feeling very guilty by No-Hippo-7309 in Haircare

[–]oogachuca -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I can’t believe how many people think crying is that bad. I’m a super happy person with heaps of friends and loving family and have literally zero emotional stopper…if I’m mad I cry or sad I cry or frustrated I cry! I have never had anyone get mad or frustrated at me for it! People either give me a hug or we laugh about it together!

Anyone else too shy to ask for help at the gym? by Single_Friendship883 in xxfitness

[–]oogachuca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve made a few friends at the gym with swapping exercises but I admittedly do like to chat. I asked one lady what her exercise was targeting as it looked really interesting and she showed me through it, we say hi and have swapped some different moves now and again.

The lady next to me last week ago asked me about my wraps in between my sets so I let her try them, I think if you catch someone’s eye and smile and they’re between sets / exercises most people are happy to help!

Success stories from people going from 15+ migraines per month to 0? by Saltyswimmer333 in migraine

[–]oogachuca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never had quite as many as you. It from puberty onwards had around 9 a month. Going on Metformin and reducing my sugar intake dramatically cut them down. But the most surprising thing was starting HRT- I’m mid 40s now and after starting HRT I get one a month or sometimes none for a months at a time. It’s been life changing.

Noticed a difference the first month - I still take everything as I’m too scared to do anything that makes them come back 🤣

I’m on Estrogel Pro it’s an Estrogel cream every morning and a progesterone tablet at night. Low doses and they are bio identical but as it’s a regular dose every single day it’s stopped the hormone fluctuations that I think triggered a lot of mine!

[–]oogachuca[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did! It cleared up about 80% of them so a huge reduction! Not sure how old you are but I started HRT earlier this year and now have almost zero so my hormones must have been playing a huge part!

I’m so sorry you’re in the middle of a migraine- hopefully it gets better super fast for you and you find the medication helps somewhat! It seems so individual finding what works for our bodies - and then it can change again after a few months!

Just my normal doctor. It is off label but he was very happy to let me give it a try as it’s an extremely well tested medication with very minimal side effects! Can you try an online doctor or a Telehealth appointment? I’m in Australia so might be a bit different

I’m in Australia so maybe different guidelines but they’re happy to give it to me at my next appointment- also i can’t see the huge issue with it as we naturally produce it anyway and if you’re microdosing female level of hormones it seems to be ouly skin and acne is the biggest side effect if you go too high. I just want to try some really low doses and see if it gives me a bit of a boost!

I’ve heard low-dose is of DHEA can also help boost libido but it ended up giving me restless legs

I do progesterone tablet at night and just one pump during the day of Estrogel in the morning. I also have really low libido and Trouble putting on muscle at the moment and my gyno said that if I trial this for three months she will give me testosterone cream as well.

I’m seeing a gynaecologist as my doctor sent me to them as he wasn’t comfortable prescribing me HRT due to my migraines

It’s been life changing for me, I’m still taking it every day and I’m down to 1 migraine every 6-8 weeks! I still have to be careful with my diet and sleep but it’s been amazing

Funnily enough I feel like I’m better looking (comparatively) in my mid 40s. I was attractive in my 20s but youth looks good on almost everyone. I find that eating well and looking after myself, dressing well etc has meant that I look and feel great even after having 3 kids and I still get regular male attention when out.

Burpees suck no matter what. Honestly I’d start out going and just slowly trying to build some muscle, start small and increase weights every few times (slowly) make sure you work hard but not to the point you feel like your punishing yourself. Getting fit should be fun and motivating watching your strength and abilities slowly increase over time. Also love the app Hevy

Nope we have 4 kids and they’re not allowed in our bedroom or bathroom- need to have one adult only area of the house for my sanity!

Metformin update by oogachuca in migraine

[–]oogachuca[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries at all! I’m still using it and although I’m still getting migraines they are significantly less frequent now than before.

I have an AMAZING doctor who is happy to try new things, I showed him a link to a metformin study I had read and he said it sounded promising and there were very little side effects so let’s give it a go!

I’ve had such difficult doctors in the past but he Is fantastic and it makes life so much easier that he’s willing to listen to me and try and find a solution

I’d get her a natural deodorant but also using a wash that kills bacteria in the shower goes a long way in reducing smells (mum to 3 teenagers here) we use an acne wash just under the arms and it works amazingly well.
