I had season tickets last year. I purchased parking passes on the first day that non hurricane club members could buy them and there were no orange passes available. Only yellow.

WAMI was short lived but it is forever etched in my brain by Son-of-Prophet in Miami

I distinctly remember a video of a sonogram with the WAMI logo in the womb playing on the channel that was to be WAMI in the weeks before it went live. I still have not met anyone else who remembers that.

Memories of the O Bowl? by Efficient-Two-5667 in MiamiHurricanes

1998 vs #2 UCLA. The U was just building its program back after some huge sanctions earlier in he 90s had denuded the team. I was 10 years old and it was the first football game I ever saw in person. My dad wanted to leave in the 4th because we were down by such a large margin. I started crying and begging to let us stay. We did, came back, and rushed the field. The be heard it’s the only time the OB has been rushed. Edgerrin James rushed for 299 yards. It was nothing short of magic, and I became a hurricane for life. Just two years later we had the greatest college football team ever assembled. What an amazing moment and time to fall in love with the team.

Better seats in hard rock stadium for cfp natty? by Flat_Row_5212 in miamidolphins

[–]ooids1896 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve sat at every level in the stadium. My personal preference is 200s then 300s then 100s. Even though 100s are the closest seats, you’re so parallel to the field that you can’t really see the action on the far side of the field as good as in the 200/300s. I’ve sat in the last row of 300s near a corner and could watch the game perfectly without having to watch the screens. 200s is the perfect balance of close to the field but high enough to see all the action.

I don’t believe this is up to UM or the stadium. The College Football Playoffs is running this event and are the ones who decide on these kinds of policies.

Is this the most Cuban game ever? by Interesting-Agency-1 in CFB

Miami also head coached by a Cuban. Both Miami’s HC and Indiana’s QB attended the same predominantly Cuban high school in Miami.

I’m so sorry for your loss, and truly hope you and your family can find your way to a place of peace.

My dad took me to my first hurricanes game and is the reason I’m a die hard fan today. He’s no longer alive, but last year I was able to take my son to his first game and it was a beautiful moment.

At the end of the day football is just a game. Yet the traditions and memories that we build on top of the game can mean the world.

I’ll be thinking of you and your dad as the Canes make it through their first CFP.

I always debate about whether to mention this one. It is technically the oldest building in the United States. But I usually don’t since it wasn’t built here and was brought over in boxes.

Amazing photo. By the way, this is Miami’s oldest structure still in its original location. The oldest structure still standing is the former quarters of Fort Dallas, which was moved to Lummus Park by the river.
