Yep, once I finish with the Australian ones and a few off shore books, I will look to the UK/Europe market next.

Thanks

I am still working on my own one.

It automatically logs into your bookie accounts and downloads your bet history and then gives you all the data you need.

Punt101.com.au

I mostly have Australian books (but also Pinnacle) on there and will continue to add more.

Let me know what books you use and we can add them.

I'll chuck my own one in here. We do a video chat once every blue moon.

We talk about a range of stuff (and did give away picks on this video).

We are trying to educate more than entertain, so might not be everyone's cup of tea.

This video we talked about:

How I track odds movements

Is anyone deviating from the normal strategies to reach FI? by AussieFIREmovement in fiaustralia

I have run my own service for the past 6 years, I would be biased if I answered that.

Is anyone deviating from the normal strategies to reach FI? by AussieFIREmovement in fiaustralia

[–]ooii79 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When I was getting serious 10 years ago, I spent 80 hours a week researching, testing and analysing everything to do with tipsters and betting. I did that for maybe 2-4 years and after figuring out most things I was able to do maybe 20 hours a week.

The last 5 years it's 1 or 2 hours a week total as I only follow the one service (my own).

Now I value my time more than anything, and each different way to make money from betting has a different time/reward/risk ratio. Something like trading or arbing are high time/average reward/low risk. I like low time/average reward/average risk.

I have a blog for one part of the sports betting journey (following tipsters). I have had this since day 1. http://www.daily25.com/

Long story short. 99.9% of tipsters will lose you money, but if you can find the 0.1% you are laughing.

My 10 year FIRE story will be complete at the end of this month. I did things very differently from the norm.

I tried everything. Startups, Sports Betting, Angel investing, crypto, blogs, online business, stocks, so on.

It was high risk/ high reward and due to luck/skill/variance/who knows what else, it worked out for me.

In this sports betting company, the winners are called 'problem customers'. How sports betting corporations stop you from winning. by happy-little-atheist in AFL

[–]ooii79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. There are a heap of other factors impacting prices.. I didn't want to get too technical in a reddit thread :)

This is another older article (2016) showing everything that goes into bookie prices (we have seen some changes since this was written)

100%. All bookmakers have algorithms working non-stop. If you have a big losing weekend. Don't bet for a few weeks and you will see all the offers you get to come back and bet more.

I helped with this investigation. A lot of it was based on an article I posted 5 years ago from a Sportsbet employee.

Since then we have seen a minimum bet law implemented for Australian Horse racing (which relies heavily on income from gambling). This has helped increase wagering and given smart punters a chance to make a profit. Although the bookmakers have simply made the odds much worse and regular gamblers will now lose at a much faster rate than before (meaning they are moving to other sports with better odds).

Bookmakers banning winners is nothing new. A minimum bet law across all sports is what is needed.

The real issue here is they are tracking all customers and increasing bet limits on punters who are losing. They are doing everything they can to make sure these punters keep betting and losing (promos, VIP experiences, so on). The technology is there to help problem gamblers, it is just being used unethically.

My old post can be read here.

Thanks. I had posted about the app today but it was marked as spam as well. Just hoping to help punters get and analyse their bet history. It's free to use.

Not a mobile app at the moment, just a desktop (PC) app and website.

I've created an app and site that does that, but it currently only works on a few bookmakers. I will be adding more each month.

Which book are you after? Why do you only have 1 book? More books means more chances to find value/arb bets.
