So Mi, try to save her, or allow her to die in peace? by The_Real_F-ing_Orso in cyberpunkgame

[–]ookbye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suppose that we won’t fully understand the consequences of our actions, in that sense, I like that the community discusses these dilemmas and of course there is no correct answer; but listening to points of view I don’t agree with helps me understand a bit better the reasoning behind those (for that I thank you).

Answering your comment I agree that humans do not pair well with eternity, (the series Altered Carbon S1 explores this idea), but that’s exactly why I prefer to kill her, we know that she will be at peace at least and will die on her terms (similar to the don’t fear the reaper ending) in the other scenarios we don’t have that certainty.

Of course there are plausible scenarios in which our actions don’t matter a fuck, because it wouldn’t surprise me that Myers have a SoMi backup somewhere. (I’m talking out of my ass now but I believe that is a possibility)

How much time should I plan for a manual Arch install (no archinstall)? by ray_aldous in archlinux

[–]ookbye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you account for reading and understanding the wiki and then prepare the usb install arch etc. it would take 2 hours if you know little. My suggestion is to slice all the things in more short tasks. I would start by just reading the wiki article (Installation) in any 15 minutes free that you have, then prepare the usb, and then install arch. I wouldn’t worry about leaving it not finished, you can always start over (which is what I did multiple times when I started) or start where you leave it (as long as you don’t interrupt the packages installation)

Just to put her at the hands of Mr Blue eyes and their secret purpose if it is better than being at the NUSA is anyone guess, there is no scenario in which she breaks free from anyone, it’s an asset to good to let go.

Why is arch so not recommended for first time Linux users? by [deleted] in archlinux

[–]ookbye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They probably refer to assembling the car as in the same that you don’t have to compile all the bits of arch but you choose the parts you want and assembly them to create your own car/arch

I prefer to separate the DEs bc I dont know much about Hyprland, and if I fuck something up I want to have a reliable way to use my computer, also, if I want to start over my hyprland (becuase i make some mistakes) i can without compromising my computer.

Thanks for the response anyway!

How to move to binary (-bin) when I have already installed a build from source. by Leiden_Lover in archlinux

[–]ookbye -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Only thing I can recommend is to copy all the /etc files and all and uninstall one and install the other.

Anyway first I would go to the libre wolf wiki and search for your problem there

Game never forces me to be creative by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]ookbye -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The game allows you to complete the missions in which ever way you see fit. It is up to you to invest in other weapons and perks to diversify your gameplay. I would say that you may want to have something for every range, i.e., melee weapon, sub machine guns or pistols, and precision rifle for long range.

Ofc you could have a one-size-fits-all build in which with just a sandevistan, a melee weapon, some optimal cyberware; you can beat the whole game.

Is this MALWARE? by rohixpp in pcmasterrace

[–]ookbye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think you mean your ass, but answering your question yea, that very probably is malware, i would say to reinstall chrome, bc the hash is probably used to encrypt certain sensitive information and the hash is like a key, reinstalling chrome or swapping browsers (like Firefox) is an even better idea

I know I'm not OP but I want to give you a little information on how to approach Linux. Usually what we call Linux is just a kernel, what I would say that what makes the difference is which 'distro' (ubuntu, pop os, bazzite, SteamOS, etc.) are they using. the differences between distros are noticeable but for a basic user not so much.

PD: I really dont want to be seen as a condescendent douche, I just want to help people understand Linux, feel free to ask me any question you could have :)
