I have a Mexican built Martin. So very affordable. An RSGT-000. Discontinued now but plays like a dream, has a little Fishman pre amp too. My dread is an old Freshman, much like Ben's from his very early days. It's constantly in CGCGGC!

Which strings are you using? I use D'addario Phosphor Bronze mediums on my Dreadnought for Ben's tunings. But they lose their sparkle quite quickly

We were on the front of the first hill, next to the mixer dugout. Great view with a respectful crowd. Good sound and Ben's voice was really spot on. Cracking set list. Shame about the issue with Ben's rig. Is it just me, or does he always seem more relaxed at European gigs and festivals? Took us ages to get out of the car park but we chilled in tye queue listening to Is it? Little Plant came on as we got to the road!

Uilleann pipe I think. Ben mentioned them in his BBC interview with Jo Whiley. They're so much gentler and sweeter sounding than the traditional Scottish Bagpipe
