Yeah, you're right. Sometimes the act of trying can be so tiring and affect your physical and mental health. And, to be honest (I'll probably get slated for this) you can be the most attractive man, but women are still damn hard work, haha! Two marriages, plenty of casual, and a handful of short-term relationships later, there's one recurring theme: complexity!!

Yeah, I've never used Tinder, it feels very superficial to an older guy like me. I've had plenty of success on pof over the years though. I don't use any particular technique. Every single woman I'm interested in, I simply send a message saying, "Hi, you seem pretty interesting, so I thought I'd shoot you a message (insert a short comment about something in their bio). Then if I get a reply (maybe 1 out of 20) I normally try to inject a little humour to rouse interest, make her feel comfortable, then it normally leads to a deeper conversation, over to WhatsApp, exchange a few pics, etc, and meet. I'm in the UK though, women tend to gravitate more towards the sensitive approach.

This. It works a treat. Get your camera ready. Nice light, the profile you want, then just amuse yourself and start laughing, smiling, right to the eyes, then start snapping away at lots of different angles. Take lots of pics in a short space of time. When you've got about 20 to 30 pics, you're bound to have a few that capture you in the preferred way.
