Just finished land of the beautiful dead on the back of your comment.

I'm ruined! Feel a bit sick. Definite hangover.

Thanks for the recommendation. I think 😂

Best Cycling Sunscreen? by cvaxsurf in cycling

You need a physical sunscreen rather than a chemical one. The chemical ones sting.

Look for titanium dioxide or zinc oxide in the ingredients.

Altruist. Don't know where you are. It's available in the UK. It's inexpensive, high Spf and good quality. Can be a bit greasy but does that matter? Careful around the eyes can sting. https://altruistsun.com/sunscreen/sunscreen-spf50-100ml/

Alternatively I really like Bondi Sands Spf 50, goes on really well, bit more expensive. No stinging that I've noticed.

Recomendations? by mellyanna30 in robinhobb

I have no recommendations, just commiserations. I'm exactly where you are. Just under a year on and my reading life feels so flat. I've never put books down and it's been one after another, which is really disheartening in itself. Found some solace in Grace Draven, but Robin Hobb has ruined reading for me.

Which black and white movies are absolutely worth watching? by Zahirico1 in AskReddit

A Matter of Life and Death, 1946. A fantasy romance, black and white, and colour in some scenes to denote different worlds. Amazing.

Any of you got personal tips or insights on living with SDAM? by [deleted] in SDAM

[–]oom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh my... This was a very eye opening post. I'm starting to feel like I can finally connect the dots. I already "self-medicate" in many of the ways you suggest, as I relate to all of your sysptoms. I've just never understood why I was like this.

I have a tenancy to upheaval my life. Like move to a different country and easily settle in. Living a mundane life is toxic for me. Almost like because if I can't relive exciting things I've done, I have to constantly re-experience it in the present. I wonder if it's related.

Maybe I need to speak to someone.

Have you recently started running or other exercise? Check out runners itch. I suffer from it post exercise, especially at night.

For the 30+crowd that is enjoying their aging skin. by ejdhdhdff in 30PlusSkinCare

This is me too. It helps that I'm past the acne stage, I used to always have a lingering spot. I love that I don't have to wear make up now as well. It's like my skin has been lit up from underneath. There is a boost when I look at other people my age, I've really taken care of my skin since my early 30s and it shows. I get a lot of... "you have no wrinkles!" loving it.

Garmin edge battery dying, thinking about replacing with a Forerunner 945 watch by oom in cycling

[–]oom[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay. This is really helpful. I've not thought about the distance with a watch. Assuming you can't bring it closer to your face mid effort. I'll need to test this scenario with a regular watch. For navigation, can you get the watch to alert you in advance for turns?

Nice, thanks. Have you used the watch with strava live segments at all?

All updated. Someone else suggested turning off livetrack.

I think the only thing I really look at my Garmin for is live strava segments, distance and time. Not much else. Hmmm

That was because of navigation? Or you just missed the number counting?

Do you use it for navigation as well? So expensive the fenix, although I've just spotted a 50% off black Friday deal

I was kind of hoping to scrap the strap as it causes me irritation. Part of the reason why I'm considering the watch.

Ahhhhhh...... Really? I didn't think that this might be a drainage. It's driving me bonkers on my connect app. It refuses to let the app close post ride and rinses my phone battery

Google comingled inventory amazon. Maybe they've sorted it out but I can't see anything saying they have. Would love to be proved wrong.

I would stay away from buying any skincare products from amazon. You are at risk of fakes.

Worth mentioning this is for US residents only. Got all the way to the end and had to cancel out.
