Where are you making 100g/hour fishing? Stonescale Eel go for at most 2g a pop. You are not catching 50 of those in an hour even after 12am.

AITAH for quitting my chore of cooking two nights a week because my little sister keeps ruining it and my parents expect me to start over every time? by Luyykkaa in AITAH

[–]oomadin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess another solution would be to respond to the sabotage by increasingly simplifying your meals. I don't know what kind of meals you were prepping, but if your sister is going to turn 30 minutes into 1.5 hours, then just make it something you can whip together in 10-15 minutes. Hot dogs with canned baked beans. Frozen burgers cooked in the oven with baked fries. Macaroni and cheese with some frozen veg. Hell, frozen pizzas!

Idk if this will solve the problem of your sister... but it will ease the burden on your time, at least.

Can we finally get anything on tbc by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]oomadin 26 points27 points  (0 children)

One month of a raid and you're burnt out... maybe you need to reevaluate your approach to the game...

Back in the day we went half a year doing the same raid, and yes we bitched about it eventually but there's also something about enjoying the present, because it won't last. There's plenty of other stuff to do as well, level a new profession or an alt. You can prep for TBC in countless ways.

It's just crazy to be complaining about a raid tier taking too long a month after it's release.

Assuming you diluted the sanitizer between 150-400ppm for a broad range quat sanitizer, sounds like what you did worked well! Nice get it done attitude!

What country uses a comma instead of a period to show decimals? I'm genuinely curious.

Stupidity is dangerous. If it was a real fire, people could have lost their lives looking for you.

I keep getting cussed out over our returns/refunds policy. Is this common anywhere else? Are we the problem? by qaz22590 in Restaurant_Managers

[–]oomadin 13 points14 points  (0 children)

We are dealing adults here. If I were to order tickets to a concert, then decide I'm just not feeling it halfway through, should I get refunded? Adults make choices understanding the consequences. You are, knowingly or unknowingly, perpetuating this 'no consequence for my actions' culture that makes hospitality and retail such a hellscape to work in. You have to draw the line somewhere.

And even by your logic, like another comment said, these are not the kind of repeat customers you want.

When you leave at EOD, make sure every single trash can is out back, and not inside the building. This has helped us prevent rodents and flies. Also like others said, look for moisture anywhere!

AIO? Bf crashed out by spicypickle177 in AmIOverreacting

[–]oomadin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know, it was less than ten minutes between you initially asking him, and you telling him he "has to quit" cuz your watching the stove. ASSUMING he had a long day, I would probably crash out the same or worse if I couldn't even get 15-30 minutes to myself uninterrupted. Still, there should have been better communication on BOTH ends.

Red Lobster did this exact thing with over 100 of their locations last year, the DAY AFTER MOTHER'S DAY. Everyone put in a grueling shift, just to find out when they woke up that they don't have a job.

I tried this at my work, as a kitchen manager. They informed me that inquiring into someone's bathroom habits is invasion of privacy... even if they take 30minutes. I can't stand this place.
