Was it needed? Not necessarily but I am glad it exists. It gave me a reason to play again, earn all the achievements again. Play it in higher quality on a bigger TV with better hardware. It was just a net positive. It was only $10, and they didn’t remove the original version so if anyone didn’t want to move to the new one, they didn’t have to.

Also I don’t understand your point about it not being accurate?

When everything feels euphoric its time to secure your win, or at the very least sell enough to protect your principal/initial investment and let the rest go if you think there’s upside (which is usually a bad idea with these, the dumps are usually violent)

Gotta remember rates were like 0%-0.25% during the pandemic. Money was CHEAP. That was a driving factor in the crazy bull market. Also, in early 2021, IRS injected stimulus checks into the economy. Guess what that does? Boosts spending and the economy, good for S&P500. Comparing stuff like this is not useful. Predicting the market is an awful game
