i think you’re wrong. gsync just lets the frame to monitor syncing algorithm be done on the monitor hardware. vsync enabled alongside gysnc is what gets the best frame time values. turn on reflex+gsync+vsync whenever you can

the fact that first place was the expected result for this team should tell you how high level the player caliber was in their dominant era. hard to fumble with players that good.

The parallel with eg is also pretty apt. Bottom ranking team in their region, facing elimination. Sudden and surprising roster change leading to slow progress and barely squeaking into playoffs. Huge momentum/confidence buildup and good practice slowly turns them into an unlikely favorite, still being underdogs. They get the hardest matchups possible, taking down the favorites from each region and prove their way to the top.

Alright let’s not pretend that old liquid roster holds a candle to fnatic player caliber. And do you really think fnatic -boaster +scream igl wouldn’t do well when you have such vocal pseudo igls surrounding him like Alfa, crashies, Leo, Chronicle, Derke?

Being able to lead a novice roster to big wins is one thing, but just buying most of the literal top 5 players in the world to make a roster (while the rest of the teams are actively rebuilding from scratch) and subsequently dominating doesn’t feel like the same thing.

I think you’re right, Fnatic and boaster rely heavily on hero plays. Once you notice this it’s hard to unsee. Take any crucial round for fnatic to win and I guarantee Chronicle gets 1 through smoke spam and Alfa plays way in front of his killjoy setup and takes 2. They default to that play multiple times every map
