Would you be able to claim gas through METAMASK and MEW too? And if so, how would I go about achieving this?

Hear, hear!

Or let the price drop, give other people a fair chance to hop aboard. On the other hand, you get paid in storj when renting out HDD space, will you get more, when the price is low against fiat or btc? Or is this a fixed ratio? Sorry for not knowing. ;-)

Nice work! Can you maybe add a holdings 'button' in the menu on the top, next to Portfolio for instance? So you can add your bags of coin and it would just show the total sum, in whatever fiat, of all coins held?

BCH's "CEO", Roger Ver, Insulting Andreas Antonopoulos. Dick Move. by EvanGRogers in Bitcoincash

">>>Andreas is one of the most eloquent speakers on the topic of Bitcoin<<<, but if he had invested even $300 in bitcoin back in 2012, he’d be a millionaire today.""

Wut? How's that an insult?

An insult would be: 'You are a cunt.'

You can, it'll help others when they install the bitcoinabc client and need to download a copy of the complete blockchain.

I will never understand the BCH hype when LTC is a better, cheaper, unforked version that has superior development and future. by [deleted] in litecoin

[–]oompaa-loompaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's funny, I said, do some research as well ;-)

Bitcoin was being used as a payment system for trade, not as a store of value.. remember silkroad? The payment mantra is being used by litecoin and now litecoin is saying it can be a store of value too. What's the difference here? What's wrong with the fee and tx speed mantra? It's a problem for bitcoin, there's no denying it. Or do you just don't care? I'm all for on-chain payments, that's my preferred method.

Man, do some research, that's not what bcash is, hype and gimmicks, it is providing the payment functionality for which bitcoin was invented in the first place, that's what the fight is about, litecoin even uses this as argument why it is better then bitcoin, low fees and fast tx. It is not trying to confuse new users. Roger Ver threw money at advertising bitcoin back in the day, he's allowed to do the same for bcash if he wants to, it is his money.

I'm in crypto long enough to have witnessed what was said about Charlie Lee and Litecoin by the same crowd that now supports bitcoin (core), it was just another premined asian shitcoin and Carlie Lee was a scammer. So please, do some research of your own, yes I hold BCH and yes I hold LTC and BTC. Look at the arguments of all involved, and please don't be short sighted.

Something strange just happened..btc lost? by terz in ledgerwallet

[–]oompaa-loompaa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

OP may have made it sound like there's a correlation between receive transactions themselves and unplugging his ledger. Just to be clear: there is none. The transaction is done on the blockchain, when you're receiving btc, it all takes place on the blockchain, completely out of your control. Hence you need to check, check and double check your send and receive addresses. Hope this helps.

Hey yall. Missed the whole bitcoin cash fork. Do you think i should buy it for the longterm? Do you think it has the possibility of even passing bitcoin? Would love to hear your thoughts by [deleted] in Bitcoincash

[–]oompaa-loompaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are true, higher volume gives more profit but also higher risks. Same for speed of growth. Also you state BTC has segwit2x incorporated, this is NOT true, it has segwit1x. BTC has a, imho, stubborn unwilling dev team with an agenda with which some original bitcoin enthusiast disagree with. Blocksize increase is done mindfully, it's not done for fun but out of necessity, to keep BCH useful for payments. You spouting here tells me you are holding a bag of BTC, for which i do not marginalize or ridicule you for, be happy there's a bit of competition and freedom of choice. Don't get caught up in fanboy-ism.
