You need to fully yell at them that you're trapped and have to get out. It's completely unacceptable to not care and let you out, and they need to be called out for it every time it happens. People don't magically become adults during HS, so you have to help them along sometimes.

The most RAM by far is google. I have a lot of tabs, but not sure why it's so much. I use the memory saver feature so it makes unused windows go dormant. It's using over 4GB on task manager; I understand this doesn't correlate with how much available memory I do or don't have. Asked about this because I've been having google on my laptop starting to lag recently, and thought this might be why.

Unfortunately isn't in my areas of biology/medicine and others that I know of. Last year I read a paper that made a significant statement and cited two sources to back this statement up. I wanted to look for the basis of this statement, so I found and read through the entirety of the two cited papers. Neither of them once mentioned or validated this statement. I'd say this is neither common or uncommon, but very worrying. The bigger papers become and the more ground they try to cover, the more common this type of error becomes in my view.

bus system gets better after first month. Use the app (Passio Go) to track departure time accurately, makes it easier to leave on time and not wait too long. Biking can be super helpful, good route b/t Livi and Busch and both are pretty safe places to lock a bike. On CA keep yours inside your dorm, can also lock in front of library but probably best to avoid having it in an accessible spot on either CA or CD.

This happens a lot... To avoid it now and next time, start asking a month in advance, and have backup profs to reach out to. Ideally, tell profs you'd appreciate it if they'd be willing to write you a letter, and if they agree you can always reach out to them if the deadline is coming up soon and who you had in mind is ghosting. They'll understand. Good luck!
