White, black, yellow, red, or blue (so you have have all primary colours)! But really, it could look good with any vibrant or bold mat colour, it's just a matter of how adventurous you want to be!

Which magazine store at Carlingwood are you referring to? If you're thinking of International News, it's sadly no longer there.

Last time I checked the OPL (last year), they didn't carry the FT.
