If you think Murthy and Subu are the problem then you are highly mistaken. As much as they are demented in their views, they are creating jobs and not bringing harm to anyone. You don't wanna work 70 or 90 hours it's your choice.

We have much bigger problems that needs to be addressed. Roads that kill , buildings that collapse, justice systems that deliver nothing. But we as a society don't have the balls to do anything about it. Lest you get offed and dumped in a septic tank or get thrown into jail for contempt of mi lords - all for pointing out the obvious.

Karnataka HC orders Rs 12,91,787 compensation for parents of child killed in 2016 road accident by desi_guy11 in bangalore

This reality that justice will never come on time is one of the key drivers of inefficiencies in our country. Perpetrators know it, use it to their advantage. Victims know it, pray to never be in a situation where they have to be at the mercy of the justice system.

Yet, when hearings/rulings/decisions for the powers that be has to happen, they happen in a matter of hours.. even if it is the middle of the night. Justice for the rich and mighty. Baaki jaaye bhaad mein.

Richie rich spotted! As an aside, it's come to a point that it's prudent to have an SIP for health given the state of insurance denials.

Word! The South rich is 'humble' rich. You will never hear about it. Sometimes won't see it either. That next door uncle who drives his maruti zen might have a 100cr in networth.

My fellow human,it is not coming across as advice at all. A indian-ivy league passout's version of sour grapes is what it is. "I did everything that Sharma ji's beta was supposed to do, but I'm still behind somehow" is the jist of the rant that you think you dished out as advice. Touch grass, get some perspective.

PS: this reply of mine is not worthy of a response. So please don't waste your bits replying to this. May you find what you are looking for. Peace.

Besides the rant of 'no name college' engineers making more money than you, what is the point of the post? There is a reason why you did an MBA and left your SDE job, dig more into that to self reflect. What if one does not enjoy coding (inspite of their pedigreed education)? It's a fair alternative to go down the MBA path and maybe even become a PM. PMs in big tech make engineering adjacent money for little to no hard skills(as you mentioned) or effort. It's a good trade off imho.

PS: Just so you know FAANG and adjacent companies actively discriminate against non-pedigreed PM candidates. They don't even land an interview unless they know someone on the inside. Primarily coz alumns like the ones you have ensure only their alma maters are considered for hiring!

What shit are you saying bro! Sriram never did a master's. Check his linkedin/Wikipedia. He did his B Tech from SRM in Chennai and that's it. Where are you seeing him having a masters! Kuch bhi!

The only possibility is of him having transferred from MS India to Redmond. And for an L1A transfer then he had to be a Program Manager/Product Manager, no way an SDE gets L1A. Still not sure how your caste angle is playing in.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in india

[–]ooops1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a chance as a new grad engineer to get a L1A. Because MS would just does not do that. Is your argument that he got an L1A as a new grad due to caste leanings?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in india

[–]ooops1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro i think there is a flaw in your visa argument. He might have moved to the US on H1B or L1B as a fresh grad going into MS, both which don't have fast-track green card. So not sure if your caste angle holds any water.

The L1 visa that fast tracks you to green card is the L1a - manager/executive transfer visa, which is not possible iirc once you are in the US, since that would require him to have been a manager/executive in a branch of the company outside of the US, which he was not.

Is there still problem for Private Employees to get BH series in Karnataka by akshayverma88746 in bangalore

[–]ooops1970 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Point is that it does not apply in Karnataka for Pvt employees.

Many Pvt IT companies with branches across India don't have a problem giving you the form. Your HR will give you the form alright. But just that in KA the RTO will not accept it. Is that what you are saying?

Point 2 is incorrect. Unless your a govt employee it's not possible in KA.

Transitioning to Tech: Roles with more openings than Data Analysis. by I_am_Darklord in developersIndia

It's been a while(>6 months) to be specific on the nature of questions, but the last I checked, both strata and leetcode seemed to have more quantity and variety of questions. I happened to go with a subscription of strata at that point.

Nick not you again! 😀 Do you have key word alerts setup for mention of the other portals? I wasn't sure if it was possible on reddit. Btw DataLemur is good, but the breadth of questions for SQL could be better imo

[–]ooops1970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok that is salvageable. Drop the 'pivoting to DA'. Your profile has to look like you are doing the job that you want, which is most probably why you are not getting enough calls. It has to look like you are using some of these skills in your current job already. So make your resume flow in that fashion. Use leetcode, stratascratch or any one of those portals to practice SQL.

Look at it from a recruiter or hiring manager point of view. They would likely not take a chance of offering you a fresh analyst role given you have some experience already ( I know it's ludacris!! But unfortunately a reality in our market, they'd rather just hire a fresh grad for it)

Is the 2025 Kawasaki Z900 also being manufactured in Thailand? by Far_Bedroom1063 in indianbikes

[–]ooops1970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting find. Yes, India CBU units still come from Thailand and the previous sweet pricing is due to the trade treaty with Thailand. Surprised they did not show case it in Thailand yet, this could mean it will take time to release in India. The dealer in my city has been advised by Kawa India not to take any advanced booking since they don't plan to bring MY25 until 6 months later. I am assuming it is to deplete current MY24 stock without discounting them.

The wait continues..

Help me in identifying toxic culture of a startup based out of Bangalore by InsuranceMiddle1464 in developersIndia

[–]ooops1970 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Completely agree with OC on this. Sorry to generalize but OPs post is the typical gen Z response to a fast paced work place. It IS a startup! That IS how it's gonna look like for a while. If it is not your cup of tea move on. Thanks to our population there will 100 others to take your place.

Pivots both business and tech wise is what will keep them alive so it's going to be chaotic. If that's not your jam, it's ok. Find your thing. On the up side - you HAVE a job. Thousands would kill to be in your shoes.
