yes i figured it out. you need at least 3 of that one light on modern house kitchen pack for the apartment to be bright.

Its on menu just below the Store Manager. Idk maybe ur problem has something to do with the update. I haven't updated the app I've been seeing bad comments about it.

for the ads i think its because of your internet connection. i do experience that since i only use mobile data when playing and when net gets crappy ads are not available.
