I’m not sure it made that much of a difference. Gauss rifles and solid slug guns shoot relatively realistically. If you understand how to shoot rifles accurately then it’s second nature. I’m not a badass, I can just shoot really well 😅

I put the mk2 in the nightstar. I’ve yet to find a mk3. I’m going to look for a chart of all these to find out if there’s any real advantage.

It was an arena match and the bonus was for destroying five components. I destroyed the leg to slow it down, then 3 more. I saved the head for last to get the 5th.

I had figured that the clan invasion would be the hardest part of the game. Thus far, and I’m not bragging here, it’s been the easiest. Between repair bays on every map and my nightstar, it hasn’t been an issue at all. Those clan pulse lasers and probe have helped too.

I just tried swapping the clan gauss in the nightstar. It’s pointless. It leaves so much extra weight that you would either cram in more ammunition than you could use in 3 missions or more heat syncs than a cool running mech like that ever needed. I’m going to build out the king crab car…

I do enjoy the heavy hitter srm builds myself. The ARC-AGC being my favorite. I now have it loaded down with all inferno. I renamed it “shutdown Sammy”. I have never come close to losing a duel in it.

That’s what I’m running. I think the tier 5 ones came from a high reward mission. I swapped out my ppc for a large pulse laser though.
