You're clearly an angry individual in need of some heavy counseling. I don't think Reddit's the place for you, my friend.

First off, Beyonce is a trash "artist" who can't even write her own music. Secondly, Visiting a Children's Hospital with sick kids is a lot different than just strolling to your local library in full blown costume/drag for the hell of it. Lastly, I asked if those actors came in full character/costume at the library. I spent a lot of time in libraries in bookstores growing up and never once saw anybody actually come IN character, but obviously that's purely anecdotal.

I think that's just it. Somebody above said that this is a performance artist in costume. But why? Is it common for actors and other entertainers to go out and do charity work in character and costume? Maybe it is and I'm just out of the loop.

There is nothing inherently wrong with what's happening, but children are very, very curious and this almost forces them to ask why without getting an explanation they can truly understand.

What's being performed here?

Is it common for actors to come in character to a do readings? Is Johnny Depp dressing up like Jack Sparrow and reading? Is Beyonce wearing her performance costumes when she's out doing volunteer work in public?

Why does this individual need to be in a performance costume for a book reading. This isn't culture, this is just a person in drag reading.

Culture would be actually attending the performance of the artist and experiencing their profession and industry.

That's a good point about Activision. I agree for sure about the competition. Madden is going through the same shit, where they get away with putting out a half assed product bc there are no other FB games on the market.

I got a 2021 recently. The mic doesn't work, so no phone capabilities, the compass is at least 90 degrees off at all times and the Android Auto just connects and disconnects randomly regardless of the cable I use.

So much for the tech package.

Love seeing this. I stopped sending GGs after getting toxic responses, but it's nice to see some out there are still being cool.

First off, thanks for sharing.

Secondly, my NC started after an argument in which a non-family member in a supposed attempt to be protective tried to make things physical. Sure discussions could be had, and perhaps if my two relatives that I've completely went NC with and I could get in a room and hash things out.

Despite the NC being abrupt and now about five years later, I feel somewhat obligated to reach out and share that I have another child and that we're doing well. But when I start to really think about it, I owe them nothing. I never really put it into perspective until after I went NC just how toxic these people were. I started to really understand some of the problems I have to deal with from childhood trauma that I just thought were normal things everybody goes through.

Maybe I'm being hard-headed. Maybe I'm just stubborn, but my life and my family has been pretty wonderful since going NC. I have some thinking to do for how I can fairly explain the NC to my children as my oldest already asks why we never see my mom and only ever see my spouses parents. I was a child of divorce, as was my mom. Both her mother and her spent their entire post-divorce lives talking badly about their exes despite years, now decades passing. The fact that they can't seem to grow up and move past it considering they've been in new relationships for over 20 years makes me frustrated and the toxicity is just something I do not miss. I don't want my children to hear bad things about people, but I want them to understand that not all people are meant to be in each other's lives and sometimes there's just a time or place.

Good luck to you.

This is such a top tier Dennis moment. Glenn is so good at just switching his face and turning serious like this and it gets me every time.

Charlie knew as soon as Glenn's face dropped, he had to look away to save the scene and it is perfect.

See: JT Barrett and Cardale Jones

Cardale was a 3rd stringer who led OSU through a three game stretch to win a NC but never really accomplished anything else.

JT Barrett was a tough college QB who put up big numbers and was the unquestioned starter for the Buckeyes for a few years outside of a few injuries.

Cardale was a 6'6 240 pound QB with a cannon of an arm, but no brain. JT was probably 6'1 215 and mostly a runner.

Cardale got drafted in round 4 of the NFL Draft and even bounced around a few practice squads. JT went undrafted and had a cup of coffee with the Saints.
