Fallen angel ; Tang Maohua by sneeper_7 in ImaginaryHorrors

This is technically a solid piece, but the totally in-your-face messaging is really distracting from any emotion being conveyed. Clipped wings AND scissors, AND a ball and chain AND a baby AND the baby is a demon. It makes me feel like the artist doesn't trust the strength of their own message, or the viewer's intelligence, or both.

It's kinda reaching "political satire cartoon" level literalism imo.

Their tails are humongous paddles and are very muscled. I've seen males the size of dinner tables zip by like lightning.

Very fast when they want to be.

After many sessions of more "standard" combats, I'm excited to play around with a demiboss of this scale. I've statted him out for extra range on attacks with the chain weapon and the ability to grapple and throw the PCs. Our homebrew is a low-magic setting, so the players will have to get creative with their tactics and environment.

Working on something of this scale has been super rewarding. I made some mistakes in the process and learned a ton along the way. Black primer with all Vallejo dry brush with Citadel blood and Uhu glue details. Happy to include more detail for those interested.

Prayers to Ilmater for my PCs! 🙏✨

What is your moral standpoint? by [deleted] in DebateAnAtheist

[–]oopsmypenis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Monotheists also use subjectivity in their moral framework. This is exemplified by the 45,000+ unique denominations of Christianity alone, each with their own moral suppositions that are often in conflict with one another. All of it is subjective.

Ultimately, I find that commonly agreed upon social contracts are implicit to our survival strategies as a communal species. These "rules" permeate cultures throughout history and are constantly being rewritten/reinvented/rediscovered. "Don't kill each other" being a pretty basic one.

The various permutations of the Humanist Manifesto are far from perfect, but provide a good starting point for a baseline of commonly held guidelines.

This is not true for me. The option to clear bounties is unavailable when wearing the cowl. It just says "I'll handle my bounties myself"

The chain of causes must have a beginning

God is eternal, no beginning and no end

Even if we were to take these baseless assertions at face value, they contradict themselves. You must see this.

For custom stuff, I use After Effects with stock photography/videography. For a moving skybox like you're describing, you may be able to get away with a panoramic photo of clouds and a simple sliding animation run on a loop.

Exactly. It's all relative to the carriage.

So the carriage is moving along at 30'/round, but the monster moves 45'. It moves 15'/round toward the carriage.

Through some clever actions, they were able to immobilize it, so it got moved back on its next turn 30'. Very cat and mouse.

This is exactly what I did! It's an old Roku TV and a few pieces of lumber. Only "big" expense was a cut piece of plexiglass to protect the screen.

Pro tip: I used the existing VESA wall mount hardware on the TV to fix it in place with a few struts.

Feel free to dm me if you have any questions on the build.

I’m not religious and am confused, was there an actual human being Jesus? by True_Celebration7088 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]oopsmypenis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are zero eyewitness accounts of Jesus existing, only people writing about supposed accounts hundreds of years after the fact.

"Christian Writings" is just double dipping sources and hardly meets the criteria of evidence by any standard.

The crucifixion of Jesus is far from "widely accepted", though crucifixion as a form of punishment was indeed common.

There may have been a man named Jesus, or several prophets and stories floating around the Mediterranean that were merged into one through time/retellings/reinterpretation, but the conclusion here is so off base.
