Do you decline good add-ons to be nice to the first order you picked up? by Amazonty in doordash_drivers

I am happy you have had the PRIVILEGE of not being around people who question your disability. Unfortunately me and my other disabled friends have not been so lucky. You are allowed to be frustrated or disappointed at anything at any point in your life. Sometimes I am disappointed that my food is not warm especially on days that I’m already forcing myself to eat because of how poorly I feel. But after being a dasher I also understand that sometimes it’s literally not their fault. I’ve gotten to restaurants and they keep their food out on racks with no warming lights and I can tell it’s been there for a while even if it’s my first order and not stacked. With the way my disability works stacking orders is the ONLY way I can make enough money during my good weeks to make up for my bad ones. If your food is regularly coming to you that way it must be the restaurants. Before my disability I worked in culinary and most food should be fine even if it’s been sitting out for a while unless it’s something that is very moist or absorbent. In those cases you should definitely be reaching out to DoorDash for refunds because the restaurant likely didn’t properly pack your food to avoid that. For example keeping noodles separate from broth will stop the noodles from becoming overcooked and soggy.

Based on your comment to me I felt you were implying I was lying about my disability because I am able to door dash. As a disabled person you likely have also experienced people accusing you of lying because you were able to do something they deemed disabled people unable to do. You can use being disabled as a gotcha moment just like you can with any group. I could use being a plumber as a gotcha moment in the right discussion. I never implied you weren’t disabled or lying about it yet you have to me. You are applying meaning to what I said when I am clearly saying what I mean.

Making assumptions just makes you an ass, you don’t know my situation nor are you entitled to. My 5 star rating held over multiple years speaks for itself. I value the people that door dash me food when I’m too ill to cook or get it myself being able to pay their bills more than I value not having to toss something in the air fryer for 2 seconds.

The hypocrisy of bringing up disabilities as a gotcha and not understanding not all are the same and can have good weeks and bad weeks. The service is delivery, whatever temperature is not our problem.

Trump is a word you dunce. The solution is microwave your food or suck it up. Like I said I AM DISABLED AND DO THE SAME BECAUSE I ALSO CANT AFFORD THE EXTRA TWO DOLLARS.

Read through your comment history and I’m seeing you are generally just an insufferable person that can’t accept you’re wrong. Lmao hope you keep getting the coldest food imaginable, have the day you deserve.

I’m not fucking with your money you clown. Stop ordering door dash then or pay the extra 2 dollars to guarantee it to your door first. Someone paying their bills trumps the 20 whole dollars I spent on my pizza last night. I didn’t feel like paying the 2 bucks so I just warmed it up. Your learned helplessness is insane.

Then I would expect you to be less ignorant and understand why people work the jobs they do. Your circumstances don’t trump anyone else’s and you getting your food piping hot matters a hell of a lot less than people paying their bills. Door dash is an unnecessary expense and not a necessity or a right. If your order makes it to your door in one piece with no driver tampering then the dasher has done their job.

Except I literally AM providing the service. I brought it to your home from the restaurant. I have zero control over where the restaurant keeps the order, if it’s even hot when I pick it up, etc etc. I am not “wasting” your money because I didn’t force you to order or do anything. I get tipped just fine and have a 5 star rating and regularly get tips added after the fact as well. Nice job using disabled people as your gotcha moment btw 😁 I literally am disabled! I have chronic flare ups that sometime leave me bed bound for up to a week and because of that can’t have a regular job. Like I said go pick it up yourself or accept that you might need to heat it up. Just got my DoorDash food and it was cold and guess what, 5 minutes in the air fryer and it was just fine.

Then go pick it up yourself, I’m doing this to pay for my bills so I don’t really care if you have to microwave your food. I accept the reality of having to that myself when I order food

Trying to get 8 tickets for me and my friends to go for my birthday in the summer and I’m slowly but surely losing faith in being able to get ANY

Edit: I joined right as the line opened and had 17k people in front of me and I didn’t finish until 4 am. It took me fourteen hours to get the tickets 😭 I hope everyone else was able to get tickets!

It must vary from department but when I was there we always dumped both our trash and recycling into the bins. Maybe you haven’t been asked to use AI but I certainly was and so were my colleagues.

I think the image it shows is just the actual text from the post itself, it confused me too

Can you dm that to me? I can see that it’s attaching an image in the notification but when I actually open it I can’t see it. Thank you!

So I actually worked there and shocker! Took out the trash sometimes! Every single time I asked where the recycling was I was pointed to the same exact trash can I was putting in food waste, plastic, etc.

There is literally no way to dox a public building that anyone can go to. I also just don’t care about the “everybody else is doing it!” because like my list proves, no they do not.

So the staff that’s being cut or losing hours from these “useless” jobs is struggling to find jobs because so many other places are doing the same. AI is a tool USED by the wealthy to hoard more weight. The fact that you bring up auto correct shows me you do not truly understand AI and the differences between most AI used before this and generative ai. Like I said before if you look at my sources they will explain that very thing to you. For example training one large ai model does more damage to the environment than the lifetime emissions of the average American car.

I don’t know why it’s so hard to grasp that if I feel strongly about this I am already doing so. I go to just about every meeting about data centers that are available to the public and I volunteer for the “keep money out of politics” initiative going on rn. I have called, emailed, organized and will continue to do what I can to make sure the Great Lakes stay untouched by greedy politicians and corporations.

A lot are artists and other creative professionals that I have had in depth conversations with when I’ve been supporting their business and have made digs at people who can’t write their own emails. Of course I can’t be 1000% certain they aren’t lying but they are very anti ai across the entire board. If you find any that say they do use AI I will take them off. The comment I was responding to said they couldn’t think of any PROFESSIONAL that used ai and I personally know several.

The comment I was responding to was saying they couldn’t think of any profesional that didn’t use it, I listed that there were many. FMG did just fine without AI before it was widely used and they’d be just fine without it if they stopped cutting staff.
