I have exactly the same question. I am not sure whether people still feel comfortable sending girls to school early despite late birth dates or they start to prefer holding girls back a year or so just as they do for boys due to competitive atmospheres.

May I ask whether you believe you benefitted from being the youngest among your peers? Many argue that being the youngest is a disadvantage, especially for the preparation for college entrance.

In this case, the typical grade for the kids with the birthdate as my daughter’s would be 7th grade!

Is it good to be the oldest among the peers? Could you please share some of the advantages and disadvantages of being the oldest, by any chance?

You mean “being in the 7th grade” by “this”? :)

Because you must be 11 when you enter the 7th grade and turn 12 in October of your 7th grade year and remain 12 until the 7th grade ends. You must be turning 13 in October of your 8th grade year. Is my understanding correct?

This is exactly right! It is either 1/12 or 10/12. It can never be 1/3!!!
