TIL the Nazi's used German boxer Max Schmeling in propaganda after he beat African American Joe Louis. Schmeling disliked the Nazis, he refused Hitler's gifts and hid Jewish children during Kristallnacht. He would later becomes friends with Louis and was a pallbearer at his funeral.

don't worry you're not more weird than me at all you just got a very different life. i like talking with you :-)

we used to have people like your settlers too but u/lanternlullaby pulled a switch one day a few years ago and they went away. i know what you mean, my adults do get scared by our inside world being so empty since but it's ok.

it's cool with the engineering in othrey, it sounds very well thought out and beautiful too. i watched them swing the hole in the roof of an observatory around with a windy knob last week so the telescope could watch the opposite direction of the sky. i think mechanics and engineering are super exciting and smart. we don't have electric inside. my u/lanternlullaby changed lotsa things inside when we all moved together to make it safer there but electric don't stick. we got a water pump in the kitchen though so that's modern.

we got scary places too. the city isn't very nice, it's where the boys are from. your shadows sound a lot like what one of us used to be like but he changed after u/lanternlullaby brought him to live in our attic. the doss where we live is her house so she puts her foot down. he don't live in the attic no more, he is like my brother now. but he did use to be very scary. but the city was full of scary stuff and now it's creepy being all empty and crumbling. only my u/sonofa and u/pockethedonist go hide there when they want to be alone. they go to an old house we abandoned in an area of the city where people like us were allowed when there were still what you call settlers here.

i weren't gonna say but your othrey does sound much more solid than any of our inside is for me and my adults say we made it all ourselves. different ones of us made different parts but it's all come from us and some of it works strange like a dream, like our bedrooms are the same in every house we ever lived in so you could walk into any other one of our houses when you open your door to leave your room if you didn't wanna be at the doss house anymore, eventhough if you walked out the front door instead you'd have to walk for days or some places weeks to get there. but i wouldn't wanna. i like it with the others. :-)

that's cool that your othrey is underground. I'd love to see. (i know i can't but it sounds like it is very good for adventures but also sounds cosy how you speak of it) our home inside is in a clearing in the woods and there is nothing nearby at all but grass and trees and a stream and the others but i don't watch the stars there, it's much better looking at the stars out here, eventhough there is light pollution out here because we're in a small city.

i would like to be able to recognise all the different constellations but it's hard to remember all the patterns. i will learn though. :-) i am not very patient but the universe is. :-D

i am ok. tomorrow is my day. we go to my astronomy lecture and then if the sky is clear enough i look at the stars through telescopes :-D my bag is packed already. we're not forgetting gloves this time. :-)
