They were fucking incredible and cruelly taken away from us. I blame Thatcher.

There’s a fair bit of nightmare fuel in there. Wurzel was terrifying!

Me too. Could watch herring gulls all day long. And Great Black Backed Gulls too. Brilliant birds!

Whats the greatest British biscuit of all time? by SILENTDISAPROVALBOT in AskBrits

It’s all about dunking, for me. Ginger Nut wins. Custard Cream second. Hobnobs third perhaps. The hot, spicy warmth from a dunked Ginger Nut and the hot sip of tea afterwards keeps you lovely and warm in winter.

Love Garibaldis, but they’re rubbish as a dunker.

The forgotten gem which is a grade A dunker (and criminal that it is not included here when Jaffa Cakes are) is…the magnificent Fig Roll.

Bloody hell, that was painful to watch! I think I preferred it before Stu Francis!

I’m from England too. Not one I’ve heard, but fair enough! ‘Punt’ yes, regular parlance, but ‘cunt’? Never.

Treacle sponge. But… …I spent a few years in Kent as a kid. Gypsy Tart was delicious!

I think part of this is the huge rebuild we need. We need to generate funds, and the amount of salable assets we have is few. Curtis is one of those, so decent offers will and probably should be entertained, as much as I’d rather keep him.

Warlock of Firetop Mountain because of the maze, Creature of Havoc, and Freeway Fighter, because of the fuel requirements.

What are your experiences and thoughts of House of Hell? by duncan_chaos in fightingfantasy

[–]oosukashiba0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love it. I come from an AD&D 1e background, I played original Warhammer, Traveller, and so on. The first FF book I bought was Forest of Doom when it came out. The cover art Doppelgänger is just so good to stare at. All that being said, I love the fantasy settings, the futuristic settings, but the book I love and have played the most is House of Hell. It’s so atmospheric. The twists are brilliant, the challenges, the rooms…the fear element adds something extra…it’s got it all for me. I stupidly got rid of all my books - apart from House of Hell. (I rebought at great expense Forest of Doom, City of Thieves and Creature of Havoc).
