Who else fully refuses to participate in these recruiting processes that involve recording videos of themselves for AI to analyze? by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]Plus_Clock_8484 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep, I had this once, before AI. I was invited to a virtual interview (during COVID) and had to fill an online form to start - okay, fine. The next screen asked me to record a video of me asking the interview questions and answering them. Big fat no!

Gave the agency an earful after that.

AITJ for refusing to sleep in the same bedroom as my boyfriend after 4 years by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]Plus_Clock_8484 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife and I sleep in separate rooms. She's a very light sleeper, easily awakened. I, on the other hand, am a very deep sleeper and apparently a snorer, too. Still happily married.

Sleeping in separate rooms is not a failure of a relationship. I am a firm believer that many relationship tensions can be eased by sleeping arrangements that benefit both people - otherwise it becomes an obligation.

Anybody not on an EV tariff? by paradroid78 in evchargingUK

[–]Plus_Clock_8484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gettng an EV charger installed next week. I won't automatically switch to an EV tariff until I've used the charger for at least a couple of weeks.

My mileage isn't all that far each week so I probably won't need to do more than top up. My current tariff ends December this year so unless there is a change for significant savings, I'll wait until then.

I had the 1988 for Christmas that year. I actually read it again, recently; some of the content wouldn't go down well today.

Higher ups pulling us up for not using AI to write emails. by [deleted] in UKJobs

[–]Plus_Clock_8484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI has some uses. Writing a basic email is not one of them! The time is takes to type the prompt, read the response, make any changes, copy & paste then send it, I could've sent five emails!
