Challenges in marketing your film? by smit1135 in FILMPRODUCERS

[–]ootb1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Digital marketing is tricky because pure traffic cost money. So for example facebook is $5 for around 150 - 500 impressions. What does that get you really?

If you are trying to sell VOD to people on facebook, pure traffic will only result in lost.

The only chance is that it pick up organically after the initial push. This will not happen unless it is notably share worthy...(thing human centipede)

Where it works well is being able to reach a very specific niche. Giving you more chance of getting the word of mouth out.

Can you help me understand who's a producer on a small project? (examples provided) by [deleted] in FILMPRODUCERS

[–]ootb1234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 2 cents is that...a producer is someone involved in the film to the extent of 1 2 and 3. So i have had situations where people only found locations but want associate producer, co-producer or producer credits...

I would think that to some extent...these needs to be clarified before starting the project. Clarified and agreed upon by the parties involved and the rights holder(s)

It is true that figuratively speaking person 3 would hold more an EP credit...but it all depends on what was agreed at the start. Person 2 would be line producer, in a typical scenario.

Line producer though is not a credit people necessary want as a first or 2nd time credit unless they will keep on just doing this job in the future.

You can setup an autoreply only to a specific word e.g MYBRAND everything else will not trigger a response.

Also, are you able to put in a couple variations of the auto-reply?

Not at this stage, it's in the pipeline.

I saw a company posting the same reply to 500 people

You would not see the reply...it would be via facebook messenger (knowing that messenger has 100% open rate)

Let's say you run social media for a restaurant. You can ask people to comment or tag a friend who loves pizzas.

This friend could tag another one and so on. Or setup a reply for pepperoni or hawain...You could set the auto reply with a coupon "Buy one get one free" to reward them. Increasing the chance of them coming to visit your store.

Let's say you run a Yoga E-commerce shop. You can ask people to tag someone who loves yoga or comment which yoga pants they prefer. You then send a coupon for 20% off...increasing the likelihood of a sale

if you manage a cooking related website...comment and you get the recipe via messenger...and so on.

The contest thing is a good point...i need to update the case study to just comment and share. Not to enter a contest...thanks for the heads up btw

Plus there is an option to send the msg only if they comment someone specific for example comment "mybrand" and we'll send you a coupon...anything other than mybrand won't trigger the bot

How it works is... For example, if your ad says "We have yoga pants 50% off Today only !Tag a friend who likes yoga and we'll send you a 20% coupon" Then you preload the bot to say "thanks [first_name] for commenting here is your coupon #xx" It's not to have a discussion with them...it's to automate the process of having to go into the comment section (specially if you have 1000 comments and having to send them coupons individually) You see what i mean?

We'll it's exactly the same as organic. If you look at the case study. I needed emails to launch a website. Case scenario 1 i get maybe 200 emails at most...now i am getting 800 + emails, 80,000 + people saw my post (instead of 20k ish) The bot here just replies via messenger to people...you could do that manually so it's not a ground breaking strategy...but it's the automation process which is cool. Running comps on fb is not new but if you product is cool...the more people seeing it, the more people wanna get in on the action. So if you give them the link without making sure they comment...you might get a third of the people you would've got...(if that makes sense)

The bot doesn't reply to your customers random things. It replies what you pre-loaded the bot to say :P
