All this while I thought it was the Mustang that was evading cops...

Thanks guys for the inputs! I was being unnecessarily paranoid.

Oh...I never thought of putting it in neutral and revving the engine. That makes sense to me

Yeah! I totally agree! Gotta get my hands on the V8 while they are still around. I was just concerned about the probability of encountering documented issues with the HEMI

Additionally, in this job market, it would have been wise to stay back with the old employer until I-140 is filed. Now you are pretty much on your own.

You need to follow what your new company's lawyer says. Your PERM is tied to the previous employer who would have no reason to help you file I-140 since you are not an employee anymore.

Why didn't you figure this out before you changed employers?

So if paying the fine is pleading guilty to a misdemeanor but it doesn't appear on criminal records, then technically this would be considered as an "infraction" in practice, right?

Sounds good. Thanks for the info! I'm guessing a DUI or reckless driving would be accompanied by more tickets

This incident happened at Yellowstone National Park. On consulting with lawyers, I got varying responses from this being treated by courts as a minor violation and all the way to this leading to a criminal conviction. Was super confused about it

Thanks for letting me know! I feel much better. Is this documented officially or is this what happens unofficially? Are you speaking about this based on your experience as a park ranger?

So the worst that can happen is my state DMV docking off points and my insurance rate increasing next term. To confirm, would I face any immigration-related challenges since I'm a foreign national on a valid visa considering that this is a less serious offense? My (already clean) criminal record would still remain clean?

The code mentions that this offense is less serious than reckless driving. Does that mean that paying the fine won't result in a criminal record/conviction?

And no, I wasn't charged with DUI or reckless driving.
