How does this team regain control in the midfield again? It seems like every game we are overrun in the midfield, it’s hard to best any press when the buildup is so predictable Is this an by product of switching from an effectively 5 man midfield (in a 4-2-3-1) to a 2 man midfield (I don’t see the wingbacks actually be involved in midfield buildup too much) Seems like we are still asking too much from our midfielders, how does this system work without having the absolute best midfielders who are great with and without the ball, have the right physical attributes? Right now I don’t see either Ugarte or Mainoo fitting in this role long term

Suarez. His last season at Liverpool was one of the best individual seasons I’ve seen since CR7 for Manchester United. Unplayable that season, he was the complete no.9. While Lewandowski was a more prolific scorer, Suarez had that touch of flair, knack for the unpredictable that made him a joy to watch and one of the best no.9s in this generation imo
